on itv tonight
if you can look past the tragic consequences one of the greatest fights ever seen, I can still remember it so clearly. don't think it's ever been shown again other than limited highlights

I have definitely seen this aired since, although maybe just the highlights. As great a fight as it is it's really hard to watch when McLellan starts blinking heavily.

Hell of a fight!
I'd backed the G-man to win this and thought the money was safe early but Benn was a fighter who was always dangerous if you didn't keep your composure and finish him off. Out of the Watson,Benn, Eubanks trio, I was always rooting for Watson and was devastated to see what happened to him (a true sportsman and good guy outside the ring, something which could never be said about McClellan if only half of the stories about him are true). I was never a big fan of Benn (couldn't stand his demeanour outside the ring) but I'm glad HE survived that fight...!

Was a good watch. Do you reckon it was the clash of heads that did the damage? Gm's corner man was a joke, it was his job to look after his fighter, how could he keep letting him back in.

An excellent documentary . Trying to apportion blame after the fact is pointless... Easy to sit back in hindsight but in the heat of the moment very different. Have to accept it was a tragedy that is always possible to happen when you get punched in the head for a living... The two guys both knew the possible consequences every time they got in the ring. The g mans trainer did come across as a bit of a dick though. Was heartbreaking to see such a fine human specimen reduced to a mere shadow of himself...

I watched the fight on youtube this morning after I finished work and had forgotten just how brutal a fight it was. The commentator really tilted me with his 'I can't believe he just quit like that' and the other crap he was coming out with.
