It was a blatantly penalty at 1-0, City win if they score pen pretty much always. Wilkins doesn't tilt me as much as he seems to a lot of people but I was wondering WTF he was going on about when he said the Lescott pen was stonewall pen. All those that have tried, and mostly failed since Gray left show how good Martin Tyler is, Hoddle by far the most annoying.

His arms were way up over his head tho? even all the studio agreed?

Lescott's front arm was up but the ball hit his back arm above the elbow and that bit was by his side imo.

Lol @ anyone sayint it wasn't a penalty.

It was a stonewall penalty! If that was given against us I wouldn't have complained in the slightest.

Ralph - it hit his back arm - if it was by his side how did it not hit his body instead?

I'm not saying it wasn't a pen, simply that I did not consider it to be a "stonewall" pen as the bit of Lescott's arm that the ball struck was not actually in an unnatural position.

The foul on Silva on the other hand was unquestionably a stonewall pen.

I like and enjoy Ray Wilkins in the box, a little biased last night, but whatever.  No Andy Gray, but the best on offer at the moment.

Saying that anyone but Gary Neville, can't stand listening to him, shite when I have to mute a match cos of him.

All personal feelings apart from me and although its difficult to say this, Gary Neville seems to have made a great transition and is very much worth listening to.

Ray Wilkins is an utter biased clown and even though he may be a nice person, why on earth is he on the box.

Agree with this on Neville, really wanted to hate him but provides a very up to date, meaningful insight to todays game - something I think Andy Gray, with all his ridic cliches, never could do.. I really didn't like him

Agree he was wrong to do it. Not sure if a fine is necessary. Maybe just make him wear a bib in training that says greedy b*****d or something like that.

I kinda agree but at the same time Lampard is Mr Chelsea and has been scoring a high % of PK's for a long time.... Its also quite good to see strong characters with a backbone... if he meekly said you take it to Mata I'd probably be thinking yeah Lamps your time is up.
