Really?

We flop the joint and turn the redraw to the second schnizzles on a board where we could easily have coolered him to death

Not folding if he shows me I'm beat

This.

He could quite easily have Axs with the queen of spades. It's the micro stakes, players do weird and stupid things. Would also expect him to C/R AI with any flush.

Yeah, as I suspected. Thought it was bad when I went back through the hands I had lost. I got scared by the fact that he shoved as the As completed a few draws but his range is clearly bigger than just made hands here and AA or KK are virtually impossible.

OK - bad play by me, must learn to do better :-)

Some interesting comments on this hand. I think I'd have had to fold. I saw it mentioned that calling is correct as it's micro and people spaz out, but a massive overbet like this always seems to be the nuts according to hands I have seen that play out like this.

It would not be the worst play with the nuts which was in the back of my mind. My range is super strong here I think and there is a good chance I can make a bad call, which strangely enough would be a good call even if I lose the hand.

After looking at the hand again and reading the thread and looking at some of the villain's other hands in Poker Tracker, I believe it to be a call, I made a mistake in folding.
