I wasn't expecting that at all.

Who's Lee Clarke? What does he do?

See people's thoughts on the Leeds thread but basically no.
They have the best team/squad in the league and I think only Sheff Utd have a bigger budget (due to not being able to get rid of players on Championship wages).
They should have gone up automatically before now and if they fail this season then it could be a disaster as Rhodes surely goes and they're pretty big boots to fill.

While I said I didn't think he'd done great at Hudd, I certainly don't think he deserved sacking, but am not overly surprised, their chairman is ambitous.

Seriously Pleno?

He has done nothing to improve Hudds in three years despite having enough to spend. Was found out months ago according to the Town fans I know.
His agent has done a brill job getting him linked with all kinds if jobs to keep his profile up but at the end if the day after three years town are no better off than when he took over.

I have a bit of sympathy for him

I have on good authority he had the Leicester contract in his hand when his Chairman talked him out of it only 3 months ago

a manager whose reputation appearered to be built through the media

he has had the very rare luxury of a league one manager of being able to buy or loan any player he ever went for, the results arent good enough and i fully understand the chairmans decision tbh

3 defeats in 55.

To be fair, they have drawn A LOT of games, and been awful since crushing Wycombe live on TV.

A decent manager would have got their team promoted last season, or even this season. By far best squad on paper.

This.  If he doesnt get sacked from his next job (which will likely be at a higher level) I'll chew my right arm off. Being media friendly can get you far in this game...not that far though.
