Just reread your  very first post - including your 'aims' for the year.

Its nearly the end of the year - your assessment please?

I know, I know.. but this guy isn't a massive fish, he's a regfish.  This was yet again another reminder that even with a decent really solid line a regfish still finds a bet/call with a weak tptk!  Whereas I'm finding a bet/fold with 3rd set.

This game makes my head explode sometimes.

Yeah I'm going to do that closer to the 31st purely because I still have some time to dent some of my goals.  I've definitely hit some, and I've missed some.  Gives me things to work on for next year.

I know mate, want to make the most of it.

This is what I don't get about you John.

This is one of the most important concepts in the whole of poker for me. And I'm not saying I got it straight away. It took me a few months and lots of money burnt to really grasp this concept. But now it's 100% second nature to me and has been for a while. It's totally alien in a way playing EPTs and WPTs with good players and being able to think about bluffing people off strong hands. It's just a totally foreign idea to me these days because it's just ingrained in me because of the amount of live poker I've played.

It's seem to take you a year of this thread, plus however many months/years you have been playing poker beforehand and you still haven't got this concept properly. If I've got KT on a T high board in a 3bet pot, there's just no conceivable way I'd ever even consider trying to get somebody to fold a better hand in a £1/1 or £1/2 game whatever it was. I'd be thinking about value betting, bluff catching, folding if necessary, and what the valet would look like naked. The thought of getting them off better wouldn't even cross my mind, so reading that HH kind of makes MY head explode a bit.

I know you'll say "I rarely do this / I almost never do this anymore" but the fact is you DO. Almost every session contains this phrase "there one one mini-blow-up" or "I never do this anymore but I just thought..." when really it should never ever ever ever EVER happen in live cash games or 10NL.

lots of writing last post

Seems like you're still over complicating a really simple game just play straightforward and win with a low varience style like our good friend the Iranian Weightlifting u18 champion.

No need to get fancy as there are too many players who will "out oi" you in every pot haha.

How deep were you with the 56? Can't imagine folding that to many let alone a maniac putting his stack in first.

[  ] range merge

Maybe ive misused the term, but I thought a range merge was when you take a bluff or value hand or medium strength hand and play it like the same thing? no?

I knew he had a one pair hand and on a 678Q9 board I call, call, call, shoved over pot with 67 and won when called.  What is that called?
