yeah and in every example i had more equity than i thought...

honest answer is i didn't think it would be horrible and figured I'd get it through enough for it to not matter, we got called and still did a W... UL Jack, you played solid all day mate.

Off for dinner with C, sounds like she smashed the interview today... WELL DONE! (she reads)

And we just walked around Willen Lake, doing all the exercises on the 'stops' around the lake, little tired and done something today.... then ubergrind later! 19bi's again pleasEEEE!

But you wouldn't have been there 'all day' and this was pee antes so I wouldn't pay yourself on the back, the j10 massive spew score is really bad really early too.

Anyway won't hound, you had fins nd that's what poker is about. Who wins anyway

I love Johns honesty and the abuse he has taken may have crushed mere mortals and despite him upsetting my mate he has handled this really well.

However you can't just use the excuse it's the grand prix man. Try and play your best all the time. In a few years you may look back and regret playing a few key hands that could have meant the world of difference.  Variance does not allow us mid stakes players the chance of big 6 figure scores too often and if you look back and feel you played poorly then it really hurts

Yeh I didn't get that. I mean how is £100 not a lot of money to you? Its 15 buyins of the stakes you are staked to play! So you'd have to win 30 buyins to make that back!

Lol yeah that confuses me too.- I am sure Patrick knows what he is doing working up through the stakes but wtf is it all about. He was brilliant in those £500 sats on Dtd printing money.
Now Patrick has got him wooooping it up about winning $7 and all that does is get me and the Luton regs laffing our cocks off.

Haters gonna hate

s'all about learning to play hands in a vacuum Herb.. All about real poker and learning the 'skill' of playing the game properly... Which is obviously learnt in the best environment possible that matters to the person.  Might be great if i could learn with play money but we all know that's never going to happen, so 2/5/10nl are the only play to 'learn' while not doing your absolute nuts..  unless you can afford it like that 'stars' player from london who is apparently Abramovich.. mbn to just throw £000's at stars and not even notice.... Cheesy

I've improved a LOT and im still improving, however clearly not perfect.  And yes I know some basic 'rules' that if i just followed and didn't 'think' too much I would win quicker at my levels.  However that's not me and I do think..... too much.

As I'm slowly learning to curb that, I hope it will be my greatest strength.  I look forward to playing any of you in either cash or tournaments as you all know i can be solid but you all know i have the spew/ creativity button.. and I'm hoping that edgy possibility will get me paid.  Kinda like how people like durrrrrr get so much action, except on a whole different level (he's good and I'm not).

Either way, CP told me once that "if you can't win on a friday, give up poker!"...

And I just lost, I've even left my games early because I'm a little tired and not playing my A game.  Which might sound lame but my pride/ ego would never have let me do that only a little while ago.

So chuffed today despite losing because of the following
- Even when not playing A game I still made some good bet/folds
- Also made some 'standard folds' that i could have tilted into misplaying - UTG AJ vs a SB 3bt
- Didn't level myself in some spots postflop where they almost certainly have 'it'
- Can see in my C game that I now have pulled up so many small mistakes I used to make... reminds me of the Jared Tendler mention of the 'inchworm' concept.
http://jaredtendlerpoker.com/instructional/book-excerpt-inchworm/
(hope JT doesn't mind..)

http://wt.ag/N2IeUe
Might be wrong but I think this looks like a GREAT spot to 3 barrell.... good runout for me.

http://wt.ag/N2IfHF
People will give me hassle about it being vs my UTG open.. but I have seen a LOT of people have 10's and JJ here as well as QQ+/AK.

http://wt.ag/N2IhiE
He's a reg ISO-ing the fish and he will be reshoving on me here with at least 10's+/ AK.. potentially wider (but not much.. i mean maybe 88/99/AQ sometimes)

http://wt.ag/N2IjqW
Don't love this, in game I thought when he shoved his range would be weaker... guess he's just one of dem fishes that shoves when he has a good hand.  Over a year ago or so I would never have believed this, but I have seen it from a certain 'type' of player.  Really suprises me, they just go ALL IN and hope you have something to call with.
read - In retrospect, think this is bad.

http://wt.ag/N2IkLp
Same reg as above, confirms my range about him pre... he CAN have JJ.

http://wt.ag/N2ImTA
really tough for him to have anything and with his stack size i prefer getting turn and river barells in and giving him a chance to 'catchup'... If I have had any problems in the last 20k hands its been misplaying top set i feel.  I'm pretty sure I've been way to aggressive when i do... kinda tough for them to have hit when we gots 3/4 Aces innit?

http://wt.ag/N2Inqy
Then again.. not always... Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy  Way too many turn killing action cards, so if he wants to raise, its going in!

Just read the first hand so far but te a 100bb bluff with 10 high and no equity.

I thought that was out of us, we can't expect then to fold a queen on the river and he folds underpants on the turn.

Massive spew again.
