You're like the guy who's defending himself in court from armed robbery saying, but I didn't rob anyone else that day. No-one I tell you!

We have Channing on the rail of our table chatting about betting and so on... he's too busy to play himself.

doing ok so far. - read "haven't blown up trying to 7bt bluff a 25bb stack off a pair preflop"

Well this is embarrasing....

We ended up giving all our chippies to Adam Picken to our direct right after .....

wait for it....

5bt bluff shoving   pre for 9000 chippies - avg was 7.4k.

[ ] went well
[X] he had a pair
[ ] we had an over
[ ] he had KK/ AA
[X] he flopped draw as well

feeling a little horrid about it now, but in the silliest way this will sound.

UP to THAT specific spot, I think I played really, really well.  Chuffed with my performance and hand reading/ adjusting etc.. and feel that I let Dave down with a 'blowup'.

Feel same as I did when I lost Persaud's £200 in The Vic, I know he staked me knowing im not perfect, and i blew up... but just want to give him his money back.

sigh.....

so comedy! was chatting to adam on fb and he was like "lol just opened QQ, guy 3bets, I 4bet he jams Q3 lol"

was all about the sizings... made the whole hand weird..

Something like this

blinds - 100/200

Adam - 8500
Me - 8450
Supernit - 2500

Adam opens to 400, I 3bt to 700 (not committing to the nit but open to abuse from Adam).

Nit snap folds cos he's clicked 'fold' button like always.. and Adam makes it 1350..

We've been chatting a lot during the evening and I know we've both done this with air at least ONCE before now, potentially JJ+/ AQ+ here vs me.  He confirmed this would be his fistpump call range but he might sigh/ flick it in with 99+/ AJ+.

Then we ship the lot in and very quickly we're called.... woops... JJ wan time?

Nope.... All the QQ's then... 2% is plenty!

Sickest part is i think up until that hand... that I had played every single hand 'perfectly'.

Can't think of a single decision i'd do different.

I know, that's my point!

No point volunteering in orphanages and giving all your possessions to charity if every saturday night you dress up in drag and go and murder someone is there?

I wouldn't normally try so hard, but didn't have another opportunity I could wait for. I wasn't ready to surrender what I WANTED SO MUCH, that easily, I couldn't guarantee a call with me staying stoic and relying on a flinch "top pair" calling reflex.

Put them to good use anyway mate. 2875$. Lost a 70/30 HU and lost AJ < 77 with 3 left for 3/4 chips in play. GAY.

Thought you played pretty dam well and certainly put me in a few tough spots. I know you feel like i spewed a bit, but the whole tourney people were super tight and not adjusting. I got 4b twice all tourney and 5b both and they both got through. Opening wider than normal may be a bit "spewy" theoretically, but once we saw the guy on your left, and his left were nitty, it was time to attack. MTT balance is something I've not quite cracked, but I'm certainly getting there. I know you will one day if you just remind yourself to listen to the little angel in your ear instead of the devil.

Just getting packed and ready to leave Geneva, its been a cool couple of weeks with a LOT of yummy food, esp chocolate.

Been here before, but seen a lot more of the 'town' this time round.. and managed to appreciate the free tram ticket from the hotel a lot which was sweet.  Thanks to the Moevenpick hotel.. which is very tidy.

Will chuck some pics up when I get a chance, went to CERN to see the LHC 'ATLAS' detector and learn all about the history of CERN and how it goes all the way back to the 50's and that now it's so advanced here that the scientists from USA and Asia are heading the Europe to get their fill of insanely high level astrophysicist/ bigbang/ particle physics/ quantum crazyness.

Had Charlene here for about 10 days which has obv been mint, nothing like waking up in a nice hotel room, to then make a mess of it and be able to go out....

come home later on to a cleaned and pressed room ready for it all over again!
(thin)

other than that, little sad I've managed to creep over 100kg's just about... so really need to do something about that.  Only time I've managed success before in losing weight was with a 'suppliment' milkshake diet thingy... so I'll be heading down to superdrug to get a couple of tins and get on that.  It's a long long long way away... but my target 'ideal' weight is supposed to be 85kg I think.
#thatsacoupleofbabies

Other than that, had a word with Pleno and need to go through how i bust the cash roll and why... I didn't drop down to 10nl when I was supposed to but afaik there were also a lot of QQ vs AA aipf and a couple of 200-350bb hands where I ran into whales with the nuts when I had a very strong hand.
Hopefull we can get back on the horse as I'm more than happy to grind out of the makeup.. and I'm really close to being winning @ 25nl! - I can smell it!

probably a novicely embarassing question and its never bothered me but i saw a lady do it last week.

if you are in a pot and it goes to the river where you show your cards and you show yours and the other player mucks...can you make the player or dealer show you what was mucked...are you entitled to see their cards?

ilike i say i saw a lady do it and the dealer turned them over...just wasn't sure on whether he should have.

You are entitled to ask, smurfy, & the Dealer must oblige if requested, but it'd show a distinct lack of class if you did.

i assume she wanted to see what he had been calling/raising with...thanks for the reply

Well yes, but she won the hand, & it's a bit low to then embarrass your oppo by asking to see the mucked hand. I know one or two that would, but thankfully they are far & few between. Win well, lose well, & all that.

Sure I read the WSOP had reversed this for their comps, only serves to needle was the point.

ESPN can look though  Cheesy
