Have I missed something?

Last impression I got was this was a done deal after Ironside said they were miles clear.

What/when did it all go wrong?

Sky made big gains on the stage when porte came 2nd. They were 5 mins clear at that point and it was looking good. Movistar made that back and more when Izagirre got in the break on the stage rodriiguez won (stage 12). Froome and Thomas are cancelled out by Quintana and Valverde, so it's dependant on if riders like Porte/Roche/Poels/konig sit up once they've done the pacemaking for froome. Disadvantage for Sky for the bet is that they'll not send people up in the break as they are all used to support Froome, so can't gain cheap time from successful breakaways like Izagirre did. 6 mins down on Movistar at the moment, odds of 1/4 Movistar 10/3 Sky is a fair reflection on the situation.

Sky can make it back in the Alps if they have a good day but with them having the yellow jersey they aren't going to do anything silly

Tighty, think you can "red" the Kwiat bet. Never had the form to battle for GC. Hopefully Sagan & Sky can get some "blue".

It'll be exchanges only with the matches still in progress, Iron.

Over £10,000 has already been placed on Jamie to win this weekend’s Fish O’Mania, according to bookmakers BetFred.

Spokesman Peter Spencer said: “Betting on fishing is a relatively new one for us. This year’s Fish O’Mania has proved particularly popular with the angling fraternity.

“Jamie is the favourite with a five-figure sum wagered on him.

“We are finding that in this sport, people such as Jamie attract local support and big winnings are on offer at Fish O’Mania, with the prize at £30,000.

“If he does prove himself a winner on Saturday lots of his supporters will be celebrating too.”

What price was this good thing which has just hosed up?  Must be one of the biggest BS jobs of all time in the betting industry this one.  Bald has a lot to beat but come on give me a break.  5 figure sum staked?

So they took the money before the draw? Some punter wanders into his local shop, plonks two hundred red notes on the counter and says "I don't care which peg he is drawn to."

Really?

Not often I drop my jaw at an odds on favourite, but have a look at the 2:40 at Stratford tomorrow.

Penglai Pavilion. That's the same one that placed in the Arc, right?

In a Class 4 Novice Hurdle at Stratford?!

Turns out he ran at Hexham the other week, too!

Punctuation...everywhere..!

Be like rocking up at your local golf course and finding you're playing behind Tiger Woods Dustin Johnson.

Movistar took another 8 minutes on sky today, the majority of which came from Castrovioja getting into a breakaway that stayed away till the end. Again no sky rider in break as their one aim of the tour is yellow for Froome, and they won't deviate from that obviously. Unlikely they'll make up that time in the Alps, especially not if Movistar keep getting a guy in the break. Looking like a brick I'm afraid :-(

yeah moviestar really have this got a tight grip on this as sky are not going to try to win the team when they have a good grasp on yellow

all skys efforts are going to go into defending this while moviestar will keep sending guys off in breaks
