I was at Shelbourne Park last Sat for a night out and the bookies on the rail wouldn't have any prices up until the dogs were already walking towards the traps.

Of course when the odds came up they were lol prices, apart from one race where, as soon as the prices went up, 2 guys pounced on two  bookies, money in hand. They weren't quick enough to beat the dry wipe marker though and were faced with a blank board once they'd run the 5 yards.

Meanwhile us skill punters pinged a couple of tricasts of the Tote [/aftertimer]

That sounds about right! Only nights worth going to in Ireland are when the Derby is on.

At the point to point today there was a 9 runner maiden.
I took a pic of the show but it wont let me post it as it says file is too big, i dont know how to change anything ( if that is even poss lol)
anyway the first 4 in the betting were

My local point to point last year had a 2 horse race and the opening show was 1/10 2/1!!!!  Think the sp returned 1/8 7/2.

Not sure it will be Reigns vs HhH at the end. If they are going to set up Reigns vs HhH for WM don't they take the belt off Reigns as the WM card is going to be so thin (due to current injury list) that fight does not need the title?

HHH will more likely COST Reigns the title in some way, possibly when they are down to 3 left, expect that to be Brock, HHH and Reigns with Brock winnign it and carrying the belt through to WM, with Reigns and HHH fueding up to WM match. Either that or they put it on Bray Wyatt.

Couldnt resist. 16/1 on coral for Bray Wyatt to win the whole damn thing, when it stopped being utterly useless long enough to let me put it on. Now tilting my tits off and shouting at Dean Ambrose. Lets go KO.

Morning Tighty.

I find myself at odds with you today as I think that Exeter will beat Ospreys. Having not lost at home for over a year will negate the fact that they are all but out of the cup. It will take a very good team, or a bad Exeter performance to win there and Ospreys are not the former, but the latter could happen.

2 small bets on the game which I suggest. 40-1 on no try scorer, it rained all yesterday and it is raining again. In total opposition to that suggestion I think Thomas Waldrom as 1st try scorer is good too. Both bets are with betfred who are double the odds on Waldrom if he scores 2 tries.

£5 on each with betfred Waldrom @ 10-1  no try scorer @ 40-1.

Waldrom did score a try - two in fact - but I believe Horstmann scored the first.

What a remarkable thread it has been.

I wonder how much, in total, we have taken the bookies for, between us? The official Fred account, which still bets to modest stakes, has a profit of £9,189.53, so collectively, & considering many bet at higher stakes, it must be well into 6 figures.

Just checked and my small wager was settled as a loser, yet from what I understand he almost made it to the end.

Will call a stewards and await exstream to explain what happened in lay terms.
