johnson played 200 games there. think his dad was manager there too? he's from there.

surprised they couldn't get a bigger name (three sides new stonking stadium, billionaire owner, desperate to stay up then kick on, seen worse jobs to get), but was always the risk to the pemberton bet

"Two new TV adverts launch in the New Year including uSwitch’s first broadband campaign, supported by social, YouTube and email.
"British actor Phil Glenister, best known for his role in TV series Life on Mars and Ashes to Ashes, returns to screens for both adverts."

Saw one yesterday. Somehow feels unlikely he'll have just done a couple of ads if he's about to be signed up along with Joey Tribbiani?

I'd be very suspicious of this CBB move for Scotty T. He went from 5.1 to 2.1 in less than 24 hours in a mature market during a series where day-of-eviction money has been, ahem, rather accurate. It's looking like CBB results are as well known as the ESC results.

I Heard yesterday about Scotty T's fellow co-star Gaz tricking thousands of people voting for Scotty via Snapchat. Id imagine that has caused the big move.

Scott has more twitter followers than the rest combined. His followers are all smack in the voting demographic. He is supported by every reality "star" on IMAs book, which is basically all of them who bring even more support. He could literally have sat motionless for 4 weeks wearing a Nazi uniform and won this. I backed him at the start and have kept backing him all week as in my mind a twist, throw out or walk out was the only way he loses.

Are you now saying Scotty T has gone fav? When that american actor (ok, I forgot his name) won the other year, you did not see much off him after. Granted, Tiffany has been the entertainment but I was looking at it who would 'fit the bill' of the CBB 'winner' afterwards. With his fan base, Scotty T would do IMO.

Anyway....got a bit riding o this tonight so may have to watch it (for the 1st time obv this series  Roll Eyes ) . May the best man/woman win.

He went fave for a short while, then he drifted back out again, and Tiffany was.

Wouldn't want to have any meaningful amount of money riding on this, that's for sure.

Just had a look and he's just fave again now.

We're on a current run of 6 league wins in a row, and have a day at Wembley coming up in the JPT final.  However, this followed a run of 8 consecutive league defeats (equalling a club record) and a first-round FA Cup loss to non-league Altrincham.

As I've just posted on the BFC forum, LJ appears to be the new Michael Appleton.  Quite why he's in demand is a mystery to me.

Personally, if you offered me compensation money for a manager I desperately wanted sacked 6 weeks ago then I'd be snatching your hand off.

Ironically, he's won Manager of the Month this morning, which makes the timing even more comical.

If I was a Bristol City fan, I'd be seriously underwhelmed by this news.

Premier League Darts kicks off tonight

The first match of the night is Michael Smith vs Peter Wright

Having a look at darts database for all tournaments with a legs format from the start of 2015:

Micheal Smith has throw 53 180s in 190 legs for 0.279 180s/leg
Peter Wright has throw 168 180s in 542 legs for 0.309 180s/leg

We can get 11/8 about Wright most 180s

It is a 3 way handicap with the draw in there too but I think we've got the best of it here. Wright knows that he is close to bagging a major and will be really up for this. He's a huge grinder, plays so much more darts than Smith who openly admits that he rarely practices.

I believe that this has been priced up on Smiths performance in the World Championship where he made the quarter finals and was touted as a possible winner. Smith has shown a boatload of petulance in his career and with this run at the worlds there was lots of talk of him 'coming of age' so to speak but when he went 3-0 up very quickly in a race to 5 sets vs Barney and was pegged back that petulance was back front and centre. Wright is an out and out scrapper, doesn't matter if its 6-0 or 0-6 he'll be shooting for those 180s whereas Smiths head will be in the bar if he gets down a couple of breaks early in this short format.

Rec £100 Wright Most 180s @11/8 with Baldy, BMU, SportingBet or Coral

Quality stuff

Lovely work, thanks

I had it in the double with the Wright win. Nice return. TY.

Huh?  You asked if you could do this yesterday, and someone said you couldn't.  Was this in a shop?

Been looking at tomorrow's PL odds and there are a couple of prices I find strange, so throwing them out there for discussion:

Norwich away to Villa, 12/5. OK, Norwich aren't great, but Villa have looked resigned to the drop for ages and are awful. Surely 12/5 is too high?

League leaders away to 2nd in the league, 5/1. Surely this is a case of Leicester still being undervalued? They are top for a reason and while I would expect Man City to be favourites this looks a massive price?

For those on the masters cricket bet, the Gemini Arabians won again. Sehwag smashed a ton to get them up to 224-7 off their 20 overs (this can't be real cricket) and they kept the Sagittarius bunch to a middling 212-9 off their 20 (defo not real cricket). They were close to evens for the tourney before this, and this was a good test for them on paper, so defiantly a good spot at 3/1. Sangakkara leaving for the Pakistan premier league (he's listed to play and I presume that comp takes priority) would be a blow for the finals.

Yuh, surprised they paid out on a related double. Nice work if you can get it.

That bet is ok as it was a priced up special (i presume)

dont be trying those with your accounts in doubles online (shouldnt let you anyway) wont last to long

Johnson is unproven but good ties to the club, bit like Appleton maybe he will develop and do a good job somewhere given time (see Oxford).

For anyone thinking that my comments might be sour grapes, this was my post on Facebook in mid-December after we played Wigan.
