who wins this, with the shape of the race so changed?

rule out the last five, and there is some e/w stuff to do?

Not with the only bookie going fifth first 3.  Can't see what shortens in that market between now and the day.

Would love to see Annie Power run.  Would like to know if the big prices we took a couple of years ago were great bets.  Neil has been a big fan of The New One, but that was at 20/1 in a prospective small field.  Can't be as enthusiastic at 7/1.

You going to Neil's do on the 12th?

I would be very disappointed if The New One was good enough. Place, fine, but it has suddenly become a poor CH if he were to be good enough, especially when he has been all out to beat horses like Rayvin Black. Sad thing is it is now cutting up so bad I wouldn't be surprised to see it happen.

Justice for some of us would be a Tent victory, but if seems like the stars are aligning for AP.

Are there any others, not in the betting, that could be supplemented, which may ruffle a few feathers?

I am paraphrasing a bit but Neil's view was based on the premise that Faugheen scared everything else off leaving a v small field whilst getting 5/1 The New One to get in the top 3 or Faugheen to tip over.   Think that was the reasoning, but it was months ago and I could be mixing in my ideas too.

Totally get the logic. My only saver now is on Tent, but as a racing fan, it would still feel somewhat hollow, like a New One victory would. The supporting cast feel like they have all had their chances before(if not in the CH, but against the true Champ), but AP would somehow still feel like a champion has won, if that makes sense?

Last one at Crayford (also looking at Towcester for RPGTV shortly)

8.33 Farneys Cookie - 6/1 . Draw not as bad as first seems and is a very hit or miss type of dog. Think Omm used to put this dog up a bit now and again, tonight it's got a decent chance and is overpriced imo. £15 @ 6/1

http://www.oddschecker.com/greyhounds/crayford/20:33/winner

Went off at 3/1 and lost by less than a length after being last at the first bend - very good shout.

Is there a sadder sight than just three bookies at the Golden Jacket meeting on TV?

You get that many at Hall Green Bags.

It's still a shame to see so little activity. Reflects the state of the sport.

Loved the punter who wanted £500 at 5/1 on a dog they'd chalked up at 4/1. "You'll be alright, pal".

You don't get more than 4 anywhere. Nobody makes special trips for a meeting except usually William Hill sponsored events other than that it's just the usual track bookies.

This is not true. Lots of tracks, for example belle vue you are talking 6+ even for non bags.

Three points behind wednesday and derby with a game in hand on wednesday and the teams below, but with a worse goal difference the two teams above.

Continue to get written off but still up there.

Yeh, void for me too. Tennis always gets voided when there is a retirement in my experience, one of their anti-match fixing (lol) measures probably.

The rules for voiding tennis bets vary from bookie to bookie.

This site has an extensive list but it is always worth checking the t's&c's at each individual site when placing a bet.

Bet365 are one of the sites that void the match if it is not completed.

Not the last time I was there. Might have 6 pitches but never seen all 6 turn up, at Belle Vue or anywhere. Most I've seen is 5 at Hove for a weekend meeting.
