What would be the downside in laying Liverpool today and backing them tmoro after team news is announced, surely the price is only going one way ? I expect this ofc will be somewhat factored in but if Klopp is extreme could be some value and like I say I can't see the downside since he's never going full strength.

Sounds all 2010 blatchgate South Korea.

Liverpool +3000
Draw+2998
Newcastle +2999

Solid

No idea what any of that means or what your getting at,  but yeah solid, cheers.

No worries.  Don't forget to set your alarm as well.  Lolapool games notorious for over sleeping historically!

Ray

arbboy is teasing you

are you saying that liverpool will rest siginifcant amounts of players ahead of playing villareal?

looking at their performance at bournemouth (ten chanfges ahead of the merseyside derby after a thursday night game), does that matter?

is there reasonably anyway to lay liverpool to trade back given liverpool are routinely over-bet anyway, have been for 4 years on analytics/stats, and under Klopp that finally might be coming right?

A few holiday snaps from Miami when you've made your £££'s would be great also

Yup.

They've been alternating between Sturridge and Origi for the most part so still pretty strong either way, but who comes in now if they want to rest Sturridge ? Maybe the edge isn't worth the effort but feels like a freeroll. I know this isn't secret info but neither was the Chelsea vs City Cup game that Chompy got spot on and that changed massively just on the day if I remember correctly, was just a thought.

My missus likes to make selections based on the names of the horses. She used to look at the RPost write-ups, but concluded that it was generally "bollox", and only served to steer her away from choosing a nag with a nice name (quite often it was the grey one).

She is exceptionally good at finding winners (inc places at the larger 10-1+ prices).

If I was to start putting her selections up on TFT, can you advise the following:

1. What strikerate would she have to achieve before the tips would be taken seriously?
2. What's the number of races at which the strike-rate could be established?

She thinks I'm joking when I tell her that she has an unnatural talent, so I'm keen to demonstrate that this is serious business.

I think tikay vetoed the suggestion of a "readers wives" section some time ago.

I'm not sure about Liverpool resting players. Of course Thursday is huge for them but they still have a shot at top 4 with all 5 of their remaining PL games very winnable (Newcastle, Watford and Chelsea at home, Swansea and west brom away), and the other teams fighting it for that final champions league spot do have a tricky game or two in their run in.

Surely the most likely plan tomorrow will be start strong and fast, and if there's a couple of goals cushion then bring those key players (especially Sturridge) off to rest ahead of the tie against Villarreal. In my opinion it's best to leave it.

Happy to be ignored and throw a tantrum.

Please start drinking now to avoid disappointment (for us) later

Regarding the bet here, the key diff between this and the chel/man city game is there are people who want to bet chelsea against man citys B team. Newcastle couldnt beat sheff weds B team. Cant imagine a big price swing with people keen to get on newcastle.

Sorry just adding a question to this: given liverpools points, a game in hand, all winnable fixtures etc:

Is Liverpool top 4 at 12/1 worth a small punt?

Notable remaining fixtures for those from 4th and down:
-City still have Arsenal at home and Southampton away.
-United still have Everton and West Ham away, aswell as a probably Vardy-less Leicester at home.
- West Ham have United at home and Stoke away.

Liverpool easily have the nicest run in. If they win their game in hand they're just 4 points off city. Can see them getting 15/15 points and putting the pressure on.

Man united/ Everton is surely closer than its priced. I know they seem to have a few problems but 3/1 everton vs a man united team carried by rashford? Theyve won 1-0 and 2-0 against probably the two softest teams in the league last week (villa are crap and palace was the nut best time to play them). Looks like people are a bit carried away on false form. Pretty closely matched teams for me.

Haven't Everton got a very threadbare defence for tomorrow?
