Drumcliff in the 3.15 at Muss tomorrow, has been eyecatching in recent races.

He has missed a recent appointment after being well backed and is fairly prominent in the Betfair market next week.

He is currently 11/4 with Billy. I don't see him going off that price.

If you can have £40 at 11/4.

04 Feb 2017 - 3:15 Musselburgh - Win

Best Odds Guaranteed!
Tip It

Drumcliff @ 11/4

Stake : £40.00
Estimated Returns : £
150.00

Jordan Rhodes FGS 13/2 - Wigan v Weds. Seems generous if he starts.

Super 18 Rugby kicks off at the end of February.

Historically the tournament has been dominated by New Zealand teams with 14 out of 21 winners. The Chiefs, Hurricanes and Highlanders have all won in recent years.

Last year the Golden Lions from South Africa reached the final, losing to the 'Canes. This was a pretty decent effort seeing as they dropped out in 2013 having come last 4 years out of the previous 6.

This years betting sees the 'Canes, Chiefs, Highlanders and Crusaders take top 4 spots with the Lions a healthy 7/1.

As you're probably aware the British Lions tour New Zealand this Summer. Allthough Super 18 takes a break during this period I would imagine that several players will get rested for certain games due to being contracted by the NZRU. Unfortunately, I can't state this as fact.

Anyhow, by an extrodinary blip in the scheduling the Golden Lions don't play any New Zealand Clubs during the entire 17 weeks? I'm not sure if this has happened before, it very well may have. It's akin to having Chelsea play every Champions league game knowing that they wont have to play any of the top four in the betting market until the Semi's. Coupled with the British Lions tour which will surely be a battle of attrition with only New Zealand players being affected then I think the 7/1 is a decent price.

The next two in the market, Stormers and Brumbies, both have to play the Chiefs, Canes and Crusaders in New Zealand which shows how lucky the Lions fixture list is.

Suggest Golden Lions, Super 18 winners, £50 E/W @ 7/1

Good luck if you're having a bet.

the scheduling is part of the new format introduced last year

For 2017, the teams in Africa 1 will play the teams in the New Zealand Conference, while the teams in Africa 2 will play the teams in the Australian Conference.

Obviously, Africa 2 is the place to be.

in Africa 2 are the Kings and Jaguares (outsiders, though the Arg side should improve rapidly as the national team has done with more exposure to the best southern hemisphere rugby)) and the Sharks/Lions. so that should be a head to head

8 teams qualify for the quarters. 4 conference winners, 3 wildcards from the Aus and NZ conferences and one from Africa 1 or 2

thats the downside, only three S Africa teams get through

Got to go out for my niece's birthday meal, so have put this on for Fred.

Will keep whatever isn't wanted.

That explains the fixtures, not sure why I didn't know that.

Lions pretty much obliterated every other S.A. team last year allthough they did lose to the Jaguares away in their last game.

Does the fixtures change next year and Africa 1 miss New Zealand?

Sunwolves and Jaguares get put into one African conference each, so that guarantees each SA team gets some long haul (and the fixtures can be brutal over any two gameweek periods eg Cape Town to Auckland to Buenos Aires then home) within the group

then its seeded on last year's results. Lions top SA seed this year etc, Stormers second, Sharks 3rd et then the two groups of teams are drawn into Africa 1 or 2. so any given year a SA franchise has got a 50-50 chance to miss NZ until the knockout stages

its an iniquitous format that was almost changed after one year but its designed to help the non-Australiasian sides be competitive late into the tournament for TV ratings, ad revenue etc as well as keep any given weekeknd with lots of intra-ountry derbies

Market with Scuy (the only one I know here that has it) now. Good evening, tradesmen.

I have a theory on the first song, so this is interesting. Would be nice to have some more bookies with the market up.

Lady Gaga not to mention Donald Trump at 5/6 (Patrick Parr) seems wrong to me. She's in Texas in front of a billion people. Surely much much more likely she focuses on the positive message of the strength and promotion of the freedom of women. At the absolute most, there will be a song choice or comment which some people will interpret as being a slight on Trump.

You can break the internet with an out of time shark. Fairly unlikely she picks a direct fight with the president.

There seems little doubt she will be political.  She is known to be political and Beyonce set the tone. So you are left guessing if she mentions the enemy by name.  Not for me.

Over the past year, theres nothing in the stats between wright and Anderson, maximums, checkout %? Averages.
Obviously Anderson picks up his game at the world championship, but wright is almost double the price vs mvg that Anderson was
Wright very similar price vs klassen last night to what Anderson is against klassen next week so has to be a bet on wright vs mvg and then a bet on wright when he's big odds vs Anderson in coming weeks
Straight win or draw no bet?
