First post on TfT.

£10 on Giovanni Von Bronckhorst to be next Arsenal Manager, 150/1 Betfair

He won Feyenoord's first league title in 18 years last season and has won the Dutch Cup this season. Wegner was reported to have identified him as a potential replacement six months ago and GVB has praised Wegner's coaching methods. I imagine he would be a popular choice with the fans. Looks like he only has one year remaining on his contract. He's 43, only 3 years younger than Wegner was when he joined.

My tenner is on for a sweat.

its not 150/1 now!

minimum price?

minimum price?

It still is on the sportsbook at this end? I deposited £20, they'd only take £10 so I spent the rest on the exchange which is where it has moved.

Ah, thought they might let a tenner through.

I'll split mine with the thread if no one else can get on for Fred.

Surprised a clean account could get a tenner on a 150/1 shot at bf sb on a market like that.

The account must be 10+ years old and hasn't been used for, err, 9.8+ years.

Same status 365 account available for hire ;-)

Too late it's been cut to 50/1 now so didn't bother.

Egypt are 6/4 to qualify out of world cup Group A

https://www.oddschecker.com/football/world-cup/group-a

Russia are hosts, but "poor hosts" yet 1/4 to qualify and of course as hosts seeded 1 so creates an open looking group if you think they are opposable

i have snipped in their last ten results, all friendlies played at home..and they have beaten 2 teams

Uruguay obviously going to be favourites

Saudi Arabia

Egypt, runners up in the 2017 AFCON, beat Uganda, Ghana and the Republic of Congo to qualify.

They only scored eight goals in six games coach Cuper from Argentina has been criticised for his defensive style but Egypt have won 20 of their last 30 so job done so far

Salah, of course

group looks wide open and 6/4 too long?

I have a theory that North African teams are generally underestimated in World Cups. Often they are quite well disciplined and well organised with good goalkeeping by African standards. A bit different these days with some of the most exciting attacking talents (Salah, Mahrez etc) being North African too. Certainly I am of mind to keep them onside. They play Russia second match.
https://www.oddschecker.com/football/world-cup/russia-v-egypt/winner

Honestly is home advantage such a massive thing in world cups now? Teams all stay in luxury hotels, fly first class, get great treatment. Everytime I've seen Russia over recent years they've looked very average.

Tranmere play their final game on sat. They are assured 2nd place and a playoff spot no matter the result.

Similar situation to last year when on the final day of the season Micky Mellon fielded the youth team to preserve for the play offs

On Tues we were home v solihull moors - a team we beat 9-0 last year - Mellon put out  a chunk of the youth team and lost 2-1.

Tranmere have been playing a sat - Tues schedule recently due to postponed fixtures so it's likely he will rest players again, and we may see another run out for the youth team.

Their opponents hartlepool are 17/4. That does somewhat reflect the likelihood of players being rested, but Mellon has form for literally playing his youth team pre play offs

Might be worth a small bet

Tenball on Dee Ex Bee for the Derby at 50-1 please.

No Joey Barton involvement here and he should have won the Epsom trial yesterday.

It'll be the Dante next. Same route as Permian last year.

Joey would have given it a better ride than Doyle yesterday! (pocket talking)

Rare to see a Mj oss held up like that which was odd

It was an awful ride from Doyle on an experienced horse. Jockeys, sheesh!

Got a good bit of 5-1 the night before too  aftertiming

If anyone sees any prices go back up for the Dante, he'll be interesting for that too.
