Tighty's OCD NFL Draft Thingy.
As expected, I got Restricted to puny amounts on all markets, but I want to be part of the fun, if only to see the Tighty Reports, including Heavy Rollers, Social Demograph & Swirling Wind, & Stadia reports.
So we are on all three, with Paddy Power, as below.
OVER 3.5 Wide Receivers, £8 @ 6/5.
OVER 1.5 Quarterbacks, £7 @ 11/8
OVER 1.5 Tight Ends, £35 @ 3/10.

Will the lower draft teams pick QBs as back ups, rather than starters, even as high as the first round?
I thought the Bills had signed Kolb and, if so, my untrained eyes couldn't see a starter in the first round. Arizona and Oakland have also brought in established names.
The lines seem very low, though. Who would we be predicting might use one of their two first round picks to snag a QB? Minnesota?

last year was a rarity you could draft Luck, griffin or russell wilson and get a ready made QB starter. Not likely this year but players like carson palmer, kolb etc are not top class either..so you need options....more than one qb on the roster
these teams might draft a qb early, try and develop them for a year and maybe put them in if the season tanks...as it might well do for arizona, buffalo etc
teams that might draft a QB
Philadelphia
Oakland
Arizona
Buffalo
jacksonville
Browns?
minnesota ?
only need 2 to do so

Greyhound Derby
The loss of Aldworth Samson was a blow as I genuinely feel his early pace and will to win made him a great bet but as promised I will continue to attempt to build us a small portfolio of dogs in the build-up to the best month of the year (for me).
We've lost one early paced runner and I wish to replace him with another,
Farloe Warhawk
.
At the beginning of March, Farloe Warhawk was joint favourite at 16/1 with Ballymac Eske for the Derby but with their fortunes differing since then their prices have went in opposite directions, with Eske now 8/1 and Warhawk available at
33/1
in a couple of spots, namely Hills, PP and BetFred.
Warhawk has performed poorly over the last 6 weeks, losing out in the RP Juvenile to Eske (although he did clock fastest sectional) and running badly to exit the Arc in the 1st round last week. However, he loves it around Wimbledon and won the Puppy Derby round here last year - recording times of 28:35, 28:32, 28:32 in the 3 rounds and defeating Eske in the process. He trialled at Wimbledown last month, carding a great sectional before looking to tire and still recording a reasonable 28.6 and the RP Juvenile was at Wimbledon too where, like I said he sectionalled (not a word surely) fastest but wasn't fit.
Barry Draper will surely have him right for the Derby in 5 weeks time where a couple of good trials would see his price back to around 16/1.
I recommend £25 on Farloe Warhawk to win the Greyhound Derby.
Prefer win over each-way as if he isn't right for the Derby then he won't get through early rounds anyway but if he does get to final will have impressed and will go off favourite. Worth the risk as we are getting 33/1 about a dog that could quite easily have been as short as Eske.

Bad news. Aldworth Samson, one of my selections for the Derby, was quite badly injured in a trial at Shawfield over the weekend and is out of the Derby. Can write that one off on spreadsheet. Fortunately, only a tenner but I had high hopes.
Thanks Scotty, & no worries.
We have been backing 100/1 shots for the Greyhound Derby, & we expect a few to fall by the wayside, which is precisely why we back a basket of bets.
We still have.....
£10 WIN @ 100/1 Jaytee Helcat
£10 WIN @ 150/1 Skate On,
£20 EW @ 40/1Farloe Barracuda.
Keep us updated please.
PS - Very well done on that UFC brace of bets on Saturday, both of which won nicely.
Is the list on Betfair the definitive one, with all entries, as I cant see Skate On listed?

No idea, Adz, but he is still listed on Oddschecker. As far as I can see, only about a third of those listed on Oddschecker are quoted by Betfair.

Bf just adds runners when requested. Any dog can be added to list, entries not confirmed for a while yet

There is no definitive list. The deadline for entries is about the 22nd of May I think, with the first round on the 31st.

Betfair's list also contains dogs that definitely won't run and until recently had a dog that had sadly passed away months ago on it.
