Note to Mere / Tighty
I had this e-Mail from Paddy Power on Saturday afternoon......
Hello Tony,
Congratulations. Our 14.55 Newmarket Money Back Special has clicked which means we're giving you your money back.
That's right, your bet has lost but you're not losing out. We just want to be loved and since we can't turn up on your doorstep with a guitar, a badly written love song and a cheap bottle of sparkling wine, we're refunding your losing stake instead.
Don't forget, we offer Money-Back Specials all the time. So if this hasn't happened to you before, start getting used to it.
The necessaries: your refund will appear in your account in the form of a manual adjustment. You can view your account online by logging in and clicking on "My Account" followed by "All transactions".
Best of luck,
The Team @ Paddy Power

I think we have two free bets now.
I think the first should go on Reckless Abandon in the Kings Stand.
He was unlucky in the last race, as his side looked like it went too quickly, and he got caught by the horses on the other side not far from the line. I don't think much to the current bunch of sprinters. He is only 3 so should be getting better, and there seems a lot of confidence in the market (he is in from 10s a few days ago). He is best price
with Hills, and it beats Betfair.
Suggest £25 free bet with William Hill, Reckless Abandon, Kings Stand 18th June.
I haven't got a home for the 2nd on yet, but am keeping an eye on the Ascot markets.
For a free bet I really like Most Improved in the Queen Anne. Admittedly it's taking on Animal Kingdom but at 12s it could be massive.
It's moved from Meehan, who is a most over rated trainer IMO, to O Brien..a few others have left Meehan and gone to O Meara and all have improved bucket loads, so pretty sure The Irish Wizard can improve this fella. It won at Ascot last year in the st James palace, and looks an ideal punt for the free bet.
If not the freebie £10EW @WH 12s
It wasn't mentioned in the O'Brien article in the Sporting Life and has nothing on the back side on Betfair (last laid at 16s). I wouldn't be backing it right now.
No probs Doobs.
I thought as much, hence the edit to make it my recommend. Not worried about a no mention in SL, the guy has hundreds of horses and this one not run for him yet. The fact it is entered in all the big Group One Mile races this year tells me they don't think they have bought a pup. They don't buy many from other trainers but the last one like this they did, was Excelebration, which turned out ok!

For admin there are two £25 free bets due from yesterday with William Hill
Time limit for placing these usually a week
Doobs has proposed one in the Kings Stand, one more to follow
....and a £25 refund from Paddy Power.
As to the Free Bets we earned from Wm Hill, if any remain unused by close of business Thursday, please note I will be unable to access my Wm Hill account from Vegas. There are ways we can work round this, though.

Daily Report
Loss on the Month £406.73
Outstanding Bets £1077.25
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Aia1Hxq-NDNWdFk3UmlTSXMzTjRBTVNfOWRndVFsZHc#gid=25
Yesterday was a much better day as we only went 0 for 1, for a loss of £16 with Nadal's facile straight sets victory at Roland Garros propelling his record on the red clay to 60 wins and 1 defeat and sinking our hopes of Ferrer winning a set
I have refunded the Tuilagi bet, and added on the Boxing loss from Saturday that I had missed.
So yes, we are currently batting 0 for 24 and counting.
Yesterday was a decent day for longer term stuff.
Vettel's win in Canada has him a distance clear in the F1 WDC standings
New Zealand won a pipsqueaker against Sri Lanka in the Champions Trophy, though Southee took no wickets
We have four dogs through to the next round of the Greyhound Derby, a couple quite impressively too
The Champions Trophy is an interesting betting market
http://www.betfair.com/exchange/cricket/market?id=1.107019642
Pakistan play South Africa today
Pakistan have a brilliant bowling line up with Junaid/Irfan/Riaz and Ajmal
South Africa are missing Steyn and Morkel and the back up seamers Tsotsebe and Kleinveldt really struggled against India. There's no convincing spin option either.
Both lost their first game, and today is virtually must win for both
Yet you can have South Africa at 8.2 and Pakistan at 15
If Pakistan win today, their odds halve? Something like that, anyway
I can't for the life of me see how Pakistan are 2.3 dogs to win the match and twice the outright price overall.

Don't worry, chaps and chapesses. The Tal Memorial chess tournament starts on Thursday.
Good news is I can't for some reason get Marathon bet to load up on my 'phone. Bad news is I had a look at the early prices at home. I think that's the right way round.

While its quiet;
Its been a year since I first noticed this thread, and after a reflective cup of tea, have these conclusions. Warning-These comments are purely that, and may have no financial substance to them when looking at the Spready, they are just my new TFT betting mantra of Do's and Don'ts
DO
Back anything Tighty says blind on Cricket and Leicester City FC
Back Hector blind on Rugby Union
Back Dubai dog bets blind
Follow the Boxing/MMA boys- may get round betting wrong but always seem to pick the winner.
When Chompy says have your max on a horse- double it.
Back ALL the Channing ew picks in the big races
Back Singhee Baseball Blind
Back Snowy and Bazza on the Darts
DONT
Back Man of the Match bets(yet to back a winner)
Back Chompy Peterboro bets(!)
Back suggestions on sports you know about, that you don't think will win
Bet on F1(yet to back a winner)
Bet on Tennis(yet to back a winner)
Forget that value ain't paying them bills
You wish Camel posted more
Back Ms Shin/Mr Triangle again....( even tho you know you will!).
If anyone feels upset/left out/annoyed....
get over yourself
, sorry. There maybe sports listed I have blackballed myself from that maybe winners for TFT, but it invariably means I get on the wrong ones and miss the right ones, it just means, we weren't meant to be.
Disclaimer;I am not the Guardian of TFT, these are purely my new TFT betting rules, made for me, by me, to suit me. These rules may not suit all patrons of TFT.

Fred concurs for the most part, Mr Adz, except that.....
We have backed a MOM winner previously, in the form of the Lance Todd Trophy, & we are in profit overall on MOM's.
We have backed a F1 winner. Kekeeeeeeeeeeeeee
We have backed several tennis winners.
We never take any notice of Chompy.
Not everyone can go 0/24 & still be in profit.

I'd say 'Back all Dubai bets blind...however much it hurts'

Agree TK. Just my rules.
Having TFT on almost 24/7 I rarely miss a thing, but seems to miss winning bets in certain sports, so my life coach tells me to avoid them.
Oh, and he just reminded me.....No more ESC......ever.....ever

meh, 0/19. 5 of the bets were repeats spread over 2 bookies. It is probably best not to search for videos of the two that came close. Will try and get you something for the free bet before Thursday. Hopefully Hills will price up something else at Ascot before then.

Game three of the NBA Finals on Tuesday night/Weds 2am and the series is 1-1. Pretty surprised that the Spurs are -2.5 at home, I thought they'd be closer to -5 or 6. They got thrashed in game two last nite but it was a freaky game, close until a ridic blowout in 10 mins around the 4th quarter starting, then they rested all their stars, having won game one away they had done their job in these first two games. I think the Heat will fancy the second of the games in San Antonio, after only one days' rest, against the old boys of San An, and obv while they won't give this one away, I think the Spurs will win this and set up a titanic game 4 (remember it's 7 games in the final, played 2 at Miami, 3 at San An, 2 at Miami). Thoughts Redarmi, anyone? You've lost 24 in a row, time for an NBA bet!
