Good news for the Bode Miller bet. He tops the opening downhill training in Sochi this morning. Fred has 22/1 he's now second favourite at around 3/1.

At last, some good news, thanks Tonji.

Bet you are in your element now, with the Winter Olympic things starting?

He said in an interview afterwards he really felt the course suited him.

Tuesday 4th February 2014
Movistar Chile Open - Round 1

1 Fognini lost 0-6 6-3 1-6 in the first round

Different Fognini?

easy mistake to make if the BBC is getting it wrong....

But he has been beaten by nobody??  No idea what is going on, but when I googled him he is listed in the second round vs A. Bedene.

A complete mystery!

Your Dad being the driver Mr T is like the 1930's equivalent of Will's mum. How cool for you that was. Did you know that bit of railway was built to the design of Isambard K Brunel ? Of course you did but what about anyone else.

Maybe his Tightyness would like to tip Pujara to top score for India in the current test in New Zealand, it has all the hallmarks of his type of preferred situation.

I already did, three days ago :-)

Bugger.

Rich, is there a reason you don't put your BetPal stuff on TfT, or is it just modesty?

I blame sonour for not reminding me.

Note we have him in the Super G, not downhill. But all signs are good that he'll be quick.

I have no idea who Will's Mum is, but I'm incredibly sad about the Dawlish sea wall, though I better Post my thoughts on my Diary, rather than here.

If indeed it was an IKB design, it must be the first to have failed so spectacularly. It would have been built some 170 years ago.

I feel the same as I did the day Piggott was sent to prison, a hero of mine has fallen.

I put a lot of betting thoughts on here, including plenty of recommendations and if I put even more stuff up it would be too much for the balance of the thread.

Is Dawlish where those big red cliffs are?

I remember being struck by the beauty of them a few years ago when I went to play poker in Torquay and took that train ride along the coast to get there.

It really was incredible to see those rails flapping about yesterday with nothing underneath them. That's going to be a huge repair job.

Yes, I guess that is fair comment.

It is up to us to look at BetPal I suppose, & pick out the ones we want to get on.

It is a staggering affair, Ralph. That stretch of line, together with the line from Nice to Monaco, along the Med coast, must be the two most beautiful rail lines I've ever traversed.

The repair job? There was talk of 6 weeks yesterday. 6 weeks, my arse, it'll be months.

Mr T.

You can still do the Pujara bet. Only because I had already backed it before seeing Tighty's post on Betpal I will suggest it for Fred.

£20 Pujara top 1st innings @ 10/3 Betfred or betvictor.

Ooh, good spot, thanks. I looked on Oddschecker, & could not see it, but we are on now, with BMU.

Think we ought to credit Tighty for the Bet, but you get the Assist. More assists than Navas, you.

We have £20 @ 0/30, BMU, Pujara, Top Little Batsman, India,

New Zealand v IndiaCheteshwar Pujara (India Top Batsman - 1st Innings)Odds: 10/3 Stake: 20.00Possible Return:  86.67

After first training runs.

Womens Downhill. Anna Fenninger @ 10/1 with PatrickOwer is worth a tiddle.

Julia Mancuso should be around 15/1 ftw imo, StanleyAmes are 80/1 for anyone who can & wants the sweat.

Thanks for the photo gallery Mr Rubbish.

I saw the Beckham interview yesterday.

I'm a great admirer of what he has achieved - the boy did real good.  I just wish - you know - that he would, you know, invest a few hundred quid in, you know, some lessons on, you know, public speaking. You know?

Fair play to him for achieving so much though, & being someone young footballers can & should look up to. He is an absolute credit to football.

Ask Ian when you see him about Becks and his professionalism/kind personality. He's a big fan and has one particularly warming anecdote.
