Tiernen-Locke won todays stage in the cycling.

Out of interest how come Wiggins isnt really bothering with the GC?    Is he just riding this tour as a procession with the odd stage helping some other riders in the team?

Timing is all......

Update on St Johnstone v Celtic

Lomas isn't naming the Players that are out and if any will make it or not, their was rumours that the match may be cancelled but that was denied today by St Johnstone.
St Johnstone are struggling with form aswell as injuries, having only scored 2 in their last 5, not scored in 4 of their last 5 Home games and without a win in the last 12 in the SPL.

Celtic in the other hand have took their Eye off the SPL to concentrate on qualifing for the Champions League and Lennon said today that the defence of their title starts tomorrow.Captain Scott Brown has been confirmed as a starter and  new signing Miku who scored a lot of goals in La Liga will get at least 30 minutes if not a start.
I'm pretty sure they will play as strong a side as possible to get them familar for Benfica on Wednesday as their has been 3 new signings and nearly a 2 week break for internationals.
In my opinion if Wanyama plays for more than 70 minutes then that should be enough to get the handicap home.

The 13/10 is gone and some have even went odds on.

Thanks.

I really liked that bet, I was very tempted to bet bigger in fact, but I'm pleased with what we have.

How's your Keefy bonus?

Seem to have a few Shef Wed fans on here, they seem to be set up to attack this season, scoring and conceding at will, fair assumption? Brighton got goals all over them, I fancy a banzai 2-2 or maybe 3-2 to the hosts. Seagulls would never beat Owls in a proper fight tho. A lot worse ways to spend an ayrton than a 2-2 at 14's, if u shop around u might be able to get 12's

Mr K!

I've missed you.

I'll have a gander at that.

watched most of brightons games on tape

improving again now i would be pretty surprised if they dont win tonight by a couple of goals, from what i have heard and read sheff weds are very open very attacking and that will play right into brightons hands.

personally i have chucked some pennies at bruno and bridge first and anytime as a lot of brightons attacks are coming wide in last few games (bridge has already scored and bruno has gone close repeatedly)

did a bit of work around corners from a biggish database I have.

It seems that the obvious factors are the most important.  There is a strong correlation between price and corners and shots on target.  Although it seems that a home team at say 2-1 will have more corners than an away team at 2-1.

So if there is any edge in the corners market it would be to find a team that seems to deviate from this model and identify the reason.

Thanks.

I'd be interested  in more thoughts & feedback on this. I do quite a lot of Corner markets on my own behest, but its all a bit guess & feel.

The SimpleSoccerStats website we were advised to peruse is quite useful, but it's a bit early in the season to assess trends really.

Thanks, I'll take a look later tonight.

Do you have any views on # of corners per half? It seems logical to me, all things being equal, that 2nd half is more likely to have a greater number, and this is invariably priced at 5/6 or 10/11.

I am trying to think what predictable factors would make this more or less likely. The price never varies, it is always 5/6 or 10/11.

Non football bettor question. Do you factor in weather & pitch size?

there are more goals in a second half and as goals are related to shots on target which seem to be loosely related to corners.....  I can't find a site that splits corners first half second half, so can't really investigate as fully as I'd like.
