We need Carolina to get some points on the board Tony as Williams will be out of the game and Tolbert will be in at RB to block for Newton if they are passing every down. We have 40 yards at the moment so don't need a lot but obv the score now is not good for the bet.

I wish he would look a bit more comfortable in the pocket to be honest but it is panning out okay.

His OL is a bit patchwork and the Giants front 4 is intense

Newton yards coming from pure talent whereas Manning can pull up an armchair and pick his spots given the protection he is getting.

it's gone abs perfect for your Newton under bet Rich and the passing match bet is deffo not as far behind as it looks given the lopsided score. fingers crossed.

Frustrating night that for the thread

Williams 50 yds, they had to abandon the run

Newton lost 288-242, and threw two picks that would have won the bet if completed

The one that got away, newton rushed for 6 yds, 44 under the spread

Oh dear.......they take Newton out for the last two plays, the backup gets 46 yards in last two plays.  If Newton had been left in I win every bet I place and we tie the matchbet...

Ironic that the only bet we didn't agree on was the winner, some tiny margins on the rushing and passing bets too. When Williams came back in for the last two plays I thought they were just going to hand it off to him for a couple of runs to run the clock down. The game couldn't have gone worse for that bet once the Giants ran up a lead.

we had one of those days.

I saw Blackburn have been tipped up and I agree that 5/6 does seem a decent price.  As the poster says this is a 100% home team against a 0% away team (albeit on a small sample size).  Boro didn't put up much resistance at Blackpool and this would seem to be a similar engagement.

Interesting debate on the MOTM bet yesterday. I did wonder after I posted my recommendation if the prices would be available once the toss had occurred.

I was stunned by your post nap computer betting plunge on a certain Mr Du Plessis @ 9-2, I didn't see that one coming at all. Have you thought about introducing a post nap embargo on betting for a 1 hour period ?

On a positive note the fact that South Africa batted second was good news for our Australia 6's bet. Am I the only person thinking that 14-1 is too big for Afghanistan to beat England today ? They will certainly be fired up for a tote at the infidels, and they don't look like complete bozo's.

Scarlets host the Ospreys in the RaboDirect Pro 12 tonight and their respective fortunes couldn't be any different. Scarlets have played 3, won 3, impressively smashing Leinster, whilst running in 7 tries. Ospreys have been very poor losing their first 3 and being thoroughly out played by Glasgow last time out.
Scarlets have scored 14 tries in their first 3 matches and as an indicator of their style of play, 13 have been scored by backs. Welsh international, George North, has scored 4 in 3 games and is on fire. He is currently 8/1 for first try scorer and e/w plays quarter odds the first 3 trys on Paddy Power. In a local derby likely to be hard fought, North could prove to be the difference.
I suggest a tenner e/w on the Scarlets flyer.

I certainly think they may trade lower in running as England don't tend to do things the easy way.  However on evidence so far these pitches may suit the England bowling attack so I think the Afghani batsmen may struggle a bit today?  Certainly I think they will be more out of their comfort zone than against India.

Looks like NZ v Bangles may suffer from rain interuptions.  Bangles win toss and bowl, I guess wanting to know exactly what they need to chase if/when the rain comes.

In the T20WC Bangladesh have won an interesting toss

Rain around, and they put NZ in on a pitch that is both green-ish and patchy

Duckworth Lewis would typically favour teams chasing if play is interrupted

This isn't a thread recommendation because the Bangla's are a bit hit and miss with regard to form, but I think Bangla at over 2-1 are interestingly priced in this

Afghanistan are a best priced 100/30 to hit most sixes today.

Their price will have been shaved due to the fact they drew with India. Also, I would imagine the bookies will think that the first thought which will go through punters heads is 'There's no KP - that means fewer sixes for England' so that will compress the price further.

England do still have plenty of batsmen who can clear the ropes but the stat which I found most interesting was that in the warm-up game vs Australia, England were outscored on the sixes 10-3, yet they still won the game. They hit plenty of fours so perhaps there's less of a tendency to go over the top.

I'm going to have a little tickle on Afghans to hit more sixes (more just to have a sweat during the game), though it's nowhere near as good a bet as it was against India.

i am waiting for the new Zealand total runs and will be going under ( i hope)

pitch looks very much suited to bangla

I've gone under and under as not sure NZ will fire against this Bangles attack.

Thinking of backing Bangles outright but I'm not sure if 2/1 is good.  They do throw in some shockers from time to time.
