Our number of bets should increase as more people post, more opinions given, more accounts we have access too etc. Bet size should obviously increase as our roll does as well

Ideally we have an awful lot of small/medium sized bets with small edges, and occasional big bet when our edge is bigger- I think Redarmi posted ages ago saying the days of 1 bet per day etc are long gone, need to just have a ton of bets that are small +ev and let variance run its course. Realistically Fred is most certainly not having enough bets and without a doubt is betting too small the majority of the time to be optimal. But let's not forget its supposed to be a bit of fun not Tikays full time job. Smiley

There you go Greg, the perfect answer, the answer to profitable betting there.

I really am struggling for time at present, or we would be betting a lot more.

Think I have put SIXTEEN bets on today (Masters, & loading up for the Cricket season),  & enjoyed doing so, but it just takes a lot of time, which I cannot always commit to. I'm offline most of tomorrow, which often happens, so I miss a lot of stuff. And then there are the misclicky things......

Could you appoint a trusted individual to make Fred bets on your behalf and then transfer monies once a week for accounting purposes? I am not offering btw as i have a full time job too but on hols this week so the sports pages are getting some hammering as are my accounts.

It was a general question unloaded out of genuine curiosity. I thought that naturally it would increase over time as more get on board so its really down to Tony to filter out what he doesn't consider it value and make some polite knock backs along the way.

I am learning a lot from this at the moment which is great and doing my own filtering. Not everyone can be experts i suppose.

Theres certain sports that any good judge will nearly always be in front of the market, unfortunately I dont know much about most of them but definitely follow as soon as anyone puts up any reasonable argument in the said sports. For example Novelty markets, Television stuff and more streamline sports such as Rugby League, Speedway etc

The FGS in the Barc - PSG game.

I got some on - NOT EW, on Villa (19/4) & Fabregas (6/1), but I'm not sure that is what reds wanted.

I'll keep it off-thread, for myself, unlesss we agree otherwise, in the next 5 or 10 minutes. BEFORE a goal is scored.......

A lot of the "experts" wont and dont agree with me but I also think theres a good argument to be made for people being in front of betfair markets when it comes to "their own football team"- as long as they are smart, understand prices etc. I think having a feel for a team in certain situations and knowing how changes in lineups affect the teams chances is underrated

I'll reply properly later Greg, spinning a few too many plates at the moment, dinner, an Omaha Tourney, & some stuff next door.

Tighty has offered, that works beautifully, but he's busy, too.

Later......

Agree with this with leagues too.  I nearly always know whats going on and how things will take shape in the league mansfield are playing in as i study it and am close to it.  Thats why i put up the Hyde bet the other night. I cant find a bet though for the rest of the week, not one thats value anyway.

Sorry Tony, can't quote here.

David Lynn would be one as you are betting the current BF price ew. Henley and Coetzee look solid tho Coetzee might be in the wrong side of the draw.

piercy would be a fancy if he was in a bit better form and is drawn in Tigers group which might not be ideal.Donaldson sounds short of practice, wirichant played well in the US last month but would prob err on the side of fluke.Grace looks a decent runner but out late.

Potter and Peterson out early, Potter a bit of an enigma, Peterson ran top five in the US Open last year and looked a decent player but that could be a fluke too, played a bit if lower grade stuff but still  got time to improve as a player.

I bet the top three and had a smaller bet Peterson as he might be difficult to pitch but open to other thoughts for Fred if anyone likes something.

No vacancy there at the moment, we have several already.

Current League Two Bets include Danny Kedwall (sp?) Top League Two Scorer, Bradford to win League Two (EW), & York City for a Top Seven Finish.

York are on a roll right now, too.
