Cricket sweat well and truly on

Even if he falls short we want Australia to get as many as possible, so to give Dhawan (especially, as he is opening) a chance to get a 100 chasing

whatever, I think 8-1 is a spot these days with these big hitters on good pitches

82 now......

Go on Finchy!

I think the 8/1 is the kind of default price nowadays for tons in T20's.

Great spot, especially with the opening 4 for both teams

yes what I was implying is that it is a structural inefficiency in the market

the standard 8-1 quote should have been adjusted downwards 6 months ago, and until it is, go for it

(assuming weather and pitch is reliable)

Never even realised he had caught it. Good catch, must have stung a bit.

We were a shade unlucky there, I think, but yeah, we have another shot at it yet.

I think we should put twenty each way on Wayne Rooney as first goal scorer in tomorrow's game against Montenegro.  He seems a certain starter to me, and is still the most likely scorer.

I accept Montenegro aren't complete whipping boys, but they aren't Spain either, and it may be a bit cagey at the start, but:
the over 2.5 is odds on everywhere;
the 11/8 at bet365 for anytime is the best anywhere;
the 9/2 first goalscorer is the best price and matches Betfair.

Overall it is probably just a smidgen of value.  I think £20 each way or whatever they max us at is fine for a sweat.

Can you just clarify that for me please, Doobs?

We want FGS, EW, yes?

I can get £11 EW on FGS @ 9/2, or £18 Anytime @ 11/8. Or both.

EW.  Big sweat on £50.

Wales are missing 15 players, including their one World Class player Bale and defensive lynchpin Ashley Williams tomorrow at home to Macedonia

Before looking at the markets I went and looked at Macedonia

One of the weaker Balkan countries for sure, and sit just above Wales near the bottom of the qualifying group but they beat Wales 2-1 at home and Bulgaria 2-0 in recent games

So, I go to look thinking anything nicely above 6/4 is a price to look at further

I am frankly astonished to see them 5/2 in a spot

http://www.oddschecker.com/football/world-cup/matches/wales-v-fyr-macedonia/winner

You can't tell me they are that much of a dog to Wales who have conceded 19 goals in qualifying, and lost 6 of their last 9 at home in all competitions even with their better players available

missing : Ashley Williams, Adam Matthews, Ben Davies, Gareth Bale, Danny Gabbidon, Sam Ricketts, Jack Collison, Joe Allen, Jonathan Williams, Joe Ledley, Sam Vokes, Andrew Crofts

£20 or so?

would really like someone to tell me Macedonia are terrible, and don't back them

In the absence of that, maybe lay Wales to lose £30-40 or so and get the draw as well?

Understood, ta.

Will leave it for a bit, then go the Lay route if no adverse views.

Macedonia are dull as dishwater and very very limited

They are however organised i have said before on here i have little time for Coleman as a manager and was amazed he got the job

The welsh performance in there last game was of a non league standard defensive wise.

Calling up Bale even though he is injured is the latest line of strange things Coleman has done in my opinion

I think Macedonia were bigger when betting opened? (might be wrong)

I find it hard to back them away at nearly 2/1 tbh because of how limited they are but Wales are heading only one way
