A couple of pivotal games in our college football bets today.

2*.Oregon @ 16.Washington (+13.5) 8pm KO

This is a big game for our Mariota Heisman bet. He has eased his way into favourite, without really playing anyone. This is the most high profile game in college football this week away against a hated rival, who is much improved this year. Ducks have won this game by at least 17 points the last 9 years, might not be that easy today.

9.Texas A&M @ Ole Miss (+6.5) 1am on ESPN.

Fred needs two more A&M losses to win the bet and this in my opinion is our 2nd best shot. Unfortunately Ole Miss have lost their last 2 games against Alabama and Auburn, so don't look the threat they did a fortnight ago. Still this is a geniune test and this A&M defence will always keep a comptent opposition interested.

Below is A&M schedule left with probabilities for individual games and distribution of wins at the end of the season. Credit goes to Goofball on 2+2 whose model I am lifting from.

* Numbers before the teams are their current ranking in the Associated press poll. We get the BCS rankings for the first time on Sunday which are the ones used for end of season decision on bowl games.

"Ole Miss", how did that name originate?

Anyone find a reason not to back Cambridge today?

Boat race or United?

They seem a class apart from what I've heard on Fens FM. Richard Money, aka Dicky Dosh (excellent nickname) in the process of falling out with the fans, as he did at Luton, but otherwise Appiah is obv too good to be playing in the Conference.

Sorry. Utd. Unbeaten all season, Chester struggling down the wrong end. 23/20 hills (out so can't check others)

We got a nadge better, 6/5, with BetVictor, for a nitty £20, thanks.

BET PLACED

Chester are shocking - the midfield is full of defensive players who like to pass sideways and the forwards just aren't getting anything.

A lot of the side that won last year left for various reasons (not good enough or can't hack the travel as Chester are a part time club). I'd back Cambridge to win to nil in this one, and I follow Chester.

How's Shaq been getting on? Only seen him briefly, looked about four foot tall, but Fergie seems to like him.

Anyone wanting a value punt this evening should back Blonde Reagan (t6) in the 9.24 at Crayford.
Still 9/4 at Fred/Totesport who haven't realised the track bias at Crayford when its lagging it down. I would be surprised if this starts bigger than 6/4 at the off time.

disclaimer is i know nowt about the form

We fell out a long time ago when he decided that he would lose interest if he didn't lead his races.

It is the University of Mississippi. My understanding it is just a deep south term for old is "ole" and Miss short for Mississippi.

Could be totally wrong though!

Sigh how can Aguero not score. One result off a month's wages twice in 24 hours. Uber tilt.

Great spot tho Jamie, keep em coming til they kill the golden goose

Isn't this all in the price?  If the sides were even, you'd expect the away price to be 2/1 or 9/4 depending on the overwound.  Cambridge are 6/5 when they play away because they are way better than Chester?
