Denver at Indianapolis – Carl Cheffers
This week Homer Refson (33 of 37 home wins over six years if you recall) has his first home dog since the trend was spotted
On Sunday night football Indy, at home, are 12/5 dogs (BetVictor) or +7 on the handicap to beat 6-0 Denver
This is a game with huge hype, as it's Manning's first game back at Indy. Both sides wil be motivated to perform, to say the least after controversies this week
Indy are a decent team, not the strongest defense in theleague but certainly capable of putting up points. Probable winners of the AFC South and both could meet in the play-ofs
Whilst the outright might be a bit of a stretch I would be pondering +7 at home with this referee, having established some statistical significance to his refereeing outcomes......

Frankel has covered 133 mares and 126 are still pregnant. £125,000 a successful visit. He was sometimes called into action three times a day. Don't quote me on this, but something tells me Prince Khalid Abdullah might have made a profit out of Frankel.
It'll be a lot more if the offspring turn out to be any good.
...and if they deliver the goods, the fee will rise, & he'll do that for another 10 or 15 years. Mind-blowing!
Sangster O'Brien & Magnier really worked the system in the 70's & 80's, but these guys have taken it to a whole new level.

The most amazing thing is that it's effectively pin money for them I would think.

Even with all the facilities/horses etc they have at Coolmore, they still paid £3.5m for one last week.
Always makes me laugh when Aiden O'B refers to them as "The Lads". I visualize Aiden strolling into The Lazy Paddy late at night to find Tabor/Magnier/Smith all rolling drunk playing darts, and him trying to talk to them about plans and they just start nicking Aidens glasses and prodding him......

The bookies still think Sheffield United are a decent enough team, but yet the stats show they have only won one game all season and still in bad form from last season. They are best priced at 6's to go down and are currently at the bottom.
Make no doubt about it, they deserve to be there according to fans and it's not as if they have played all the better teams. Unless something happens in January, they will be round about the bottom 4 come May.

It's "only" £15m. A yearling was sold at Tattersalls for £5m. We've all been racing watching a horse that cost hundreds of thousands crawl round and fail to win a £3000 race.
What I'm saying is that even if you can find a Frankel, it's not easy making money owning horses!

There must be some very long thinking by the odds compiliers for the World Cup.
Spain are better than Germany, Germany shorter priced. Then Switzerland who are apparently one of the top teams at 150-1, they are going to be a top seed too? The one that stands out must be Croatia though at 250-1, there is hardly any difference between the two teams, wuld be happy to back this all night long, maybe e/w.
Absolutely no thought on England. We probably have to hope to be in a group With the Swiss or Belguim, imo
e/w is 1/2....
Switzerland will almost certainly be one of the seeds I think. Croatia have yet to qualify, so assume that (and the seeding) is the reason for the 250-1 to 150-1 difference.

Although I recommended a bet against Sheff Utd last weekend and there's no doubt they have been really poor, I think its extremely unlikely they will get relegated.
They will have a new manager in place at some point soon and this Sheik guy has effectively bought the club will at the very least fund some loan/January signings.
They wont go down IMO.

Glad you reminded us Simon - sort of.
I bet (small) both those horses Chompy told us were certainties, but I completely forgot to confirm them on the Bet thread, for the spread.
Seem to recall the other one was later this afternoon, 5.10 I think.
I'll fire up the Red Ink.

Joe Sugden. Or Mollie Sugden. I will let you know after the race.
It has halved in price, so that's the first part landed.

Ahh, found it.
Joe Sugden, 5.10 Haydock, @ 14/1. We have nearly £3 invested.
