We didn't get the 16/1 Palace I take it.  Currently 22% possession. Palace win massive for the handicap bet as Arsenal are leaders.

I have read in some pages that usually when a team wins the Super Bowl its QB gets the MVP award.

Bearing this in mind is it worth it to bet on Manning to be the MVP, instead on Broncos to win on Moneyline or even on the Handicap, as the odds are a bit better?

Bad News i'm afraid not only did we lose to cal 60-58 on saturday but one of our better players forward Brandon Ashley broke his foot 3 mins into the game and is expected out for the rest of the year he averaged 11 points and 6 rebounds so will be missed. I expect syracuse to be #1 after winning an incredible game against Duke in overtime. we will probably drop a couple of places but still have a great chance come march.

Thanks moony, can't be helped, it is what it is.

I get proper excited by the stories such as "M" who we are assured take such whopping bets, so I had to go googling.

M poker room shutdown last year I believe. I took a trip up there a couple of years back to have a look around and play a couple of hours collect a chip for my collection (yes I am that sad) but there was no game running late afternoon. Really nice casino though, as you would expect for a vegas property so relatively new.

Who's going to win Super Bowl?

This. I'm not a fan of the sport but always watch this game and would like a punt. We used to have tonnes of respected tipsters on American footy, now noone's putting anything up, some want to charge for their info, others are presumably scared of stepping on the toes of others so keeping their powder dry.

Fred started two years ago with some great super bowl tips, loads of bets, fun and otherwise. Doesn't look like that's gonna happen now, real shame

I wanted to address that, you touch on some valid points.

NFL is quite specialist, & yes, some of our  best NFL lads are not putting stuff up now. The season is done, so no matter for now, but it's worth looking at the why & what.

Its true, several of the guys now have commercial situations elsewhere, so can't put spoilers up here. Tighty writes for Betpal, Neil & others are involved with BE. Now't we can do about that, good luck to them. Others have just moved on, it happens.

Others, including at least one Elder, are not currently Posting Bets here, for a variety of reasons. We can't force them. In at least one case, two probably, they've told me they think some of the "afters" comments are a bit harsh.  The written word does not always come across quite as intended, it is hard to get the right nuance & inflection in hurriedly written Posts. I think we all need to remember, this is a collective, & without our profitable regulars, it's game over.

We just did not prepare for Super Bowl properly, either. Major Sporting Events - Super Bowl, Masters, Chelters, Royal Ascot, all need "working", with reminders of our Portfolio & the like.

As it turned out, we had, I think, an enjoyable Super Bowl in the end, but it was all a bit nip & tuck. Partly because, Tighty who works the thread so well, was tied up on an Update @ our Sponsor, DTD, but mainly it was down to me. I rev these things up to tickle the interest, but I had just about the nut worst week in terms of commitments elsewhere, with 4 Shows in 8 days, a heap of UKPC stuff to sort & manage, & some personal issues. 

I hope, next time round, to be in better shape. I'll struggle with Winter Olympics, it is all a mystery to me, but I won't be working Cheltenham Week, so we can get back to normal, I hope, & maybe I can ask Mere to run one of his week-long Tipping Competitions & I can dust off my algorithm.

Anyway, I wanted to deal with that, & now I have.

The BE thing was a tad awkward, too, both sides of the debate made valid points. We just have to deal with these things, but it's always good to talk.
