Use the Hills free bet on Scott?  Just tried to use it on Rory, but they limit you to £20.  Scott has been good to us/me the last year or so.

I assume these prices aren't going to be there all day.  If for some reason, we think Scott is rubbish (I know Tikay brackets him with Joey Barton as an example) we can just hedge it later.

Did we get on?

asked to wait for the bobby1 stuff, so its on hold, unless tikay placed it

Can see the issue now, hadn't read Tikay's post properly, and puts you in a difficult spot.  I don't think we should be missing bets like these, but obviously Tikay's money.

Bet was time dependent, and the price has gone, so would normally give it a miss now.  But 12/1vs 12/12.5 on Betfair still isn't terrible for a free bet given it expires in two days.  Just have to forget he was 14/1 before.  Knowing that doesn't mean we shouldn't take the current price.

Most of the bets placed so far seem more like hopeful punts rather than value spots

Excellent Galleryage Mr Rubbish, thank you.

Why do you get up so early in the morning? Day Job start early?

I work what was used to be called "Job and knock" so get in for 6 am. The earliest I have left is 9.30 am but the latest is 9 pm. Normally though I'm gone by 1 pm, straight to the gym and then get home just in time to see that Neil has tipped a winner and I've missed it by five minutes.

On Wednesday to Friday I get up twenty minutes earlier to hack Tighty's Photobucket account and use all his pictures.

Next week though I will only be able to do Wednesday and Thursday as I'm heading to Aspers in Stratford for the APAT World Championship (or whatever it is). If anybody is there I'll be easy to spot, I'll be the drunk guy in the corner who isn't Dave Garden.

Tighty/Chompy

Any mileage in Bournemouth +14 on handicap with BV 1/4 1/2/3 @ 100-1

Would probably have to finish in top 8 for the e/w to come in and although sitting 8th at the moment they have lost more games (5) this season than those around and they are the only team in top 13 with a negative goal difference. All things considered surely the 100-1 is too high?

No other markets to compare it too so I presume BV think the will start to slide.

You may know more about there current squad than me as to whether they can maintain a top 1/3 finish this season?

No deliberate  aftertiming here  Grin but big squeaky bum time for the last few games.

Did you get on @ 100/1?

If so, wowzer, & good luck Scott.

Confused here Ommmmm. Which handicap? The one from the start of the season? If so, impossible to say without seeing all the numbers.

best to remember ALL the teams have a handicap not just the team I've backed

 Barnsley    30
 Birmingham City    16
 Blackburn Rovers    14
 Blackpool    24
 Bolton Wanderers    5
 Bournemouth    14
 Brighton & Hove Albion    6
 Burnley    26
 Charlton Athletic    18
 Derby County    14
 Doncaster    28
 Huddersfield Town    28
 Ipswich Town    12
 Leeds United    12
 Leicester City    5
 Middlesbrough    16
 Millwall    26
 Nottingham Forest    5
 QPR    Scratch
 Reading    3
 Sheffield Weds    26
 Watford    6
 Wigan Athletic    6
 Yeovil Town

Which means Derby are 11 point ahead in 3rd.

Gherkins Batsmen scored 98 in a warm up game this week. Nice little confidence boost before the season!

Phil has not been Online since yesterday, probably getting some pre-Masters sleep in, so just carry on please, & ignore what I said. It does not feel quite right to Post the stuff without his prior say-so, as he sent it me for a specific purpose, & as a favour.

I did Dubai's greyhound bet quickly as it seemed to me that was more price-time sensitive. 11/8 generally now. Wink

Just a bit awkward, as Tighty & I work out how to not trip over each other.

Spooky - at the very moment I spotted Nutter5932 in the Thread, I was replying to a Post of his Next Door. He won a UKOPS Bracelet, you know.

Redarmi just sent me this.  Sure he won't mind me posting it.  Very funny but very serious view of the betting industry.  Is it just me or is it presented by bookiebasher and red-dog?  I always thought red dog wasn't a punter!!!

Spooky, I was just watching this on YouTube! Couldn't get through all of it though. Lasted 15 minutes and thought I could be doing better things with the other 45 mins so went to the park with the kids.

They do go on a bit but there are some genuinely funny lines in it.  I particularly liked:

"Wasn't it Corals where they found a fella dead in the toilet?"

"Aye - he asked for a hundred each way on a horse and they gave him the bet and he keeled over"

It may well be worth listening too and I'm sure the guys in it can tell a good story and have plenty of experience and knowledge about horses, but why on earth do they need to swear so much? I just can't stick it, puts me right off when there is so much swearing. They could easily have this debate/conversation and make their points without all the needless f'ing and blinding.

It's probably just me being a shrinking violet, bit I never see Uncle Tikay using this language in his Vlogs.
