There any value in backing the Portugal double in their last two group games for an around 2/1 (4/6*4/5) bet?

After seeing USA Ghana, I think Portugal will be comfortable. The threat of Ronaldo may be too much. Also Portugal need the two wins and think that will help psychologically to push on.

really?

USA very well organised, very tough to beat

Ronaldo not fully fit, rest of the team is no great shakes at all

think 2/1 double is very slim indeed

I think its a gulf in class between Portugal and those two teams. USA may be organised but I think they were helped by a unimpressive Ghana side. Fair play. I think the knowing that they need to win the last two helps with it.

Stoke?

I thought they went under the radar last season and were wholly impressive and like them for that top 10 bet.

there is a gulf in class between the two teams ant for sure but thats more than accommodated by the price you are getting for a 2/1 double.  For example if USA and Ghana were as good as Portugal then the double would be close to 7/1.  Therefore the fact that Portugal are substantially better than those two teams is more than factored into the 2/1 you have been offered.

Nice one. Wanted a second opinion. Thought the prices were tight too and they are going to be as both are odds on, but I am rolling with it.

Graceful Grit got a place in the last.

I like the bet anyway at the price quite strongly.  Chompy style back to lay theory in play as well given the relatively easy first 10 games for stoke made me want to double the stakes.  £150 at 13/5 (no idea on bwin limits as i have never bet with them for years) would be fine if bwin will lay with a view to doing a 'hughes' on it to reduce the position at some point in running due to the favourable schedule early.
