Think we should be adding Taylor to the matchplay portfolio. 2/1 bf sportsbook and bwin is comfortably under on bf. He is back to his fearless best after his 9 darter last night and 100+ average and has got a gift of a 1/4 final verses the golden newton who must be wondering how he has made the 1/4's with an 81 average in 2 games!
£40 recommended 2/1
Rec we take whatever Gamble-unfair Sportsbook will allow us on Taylor @3.5, hopefully it's more than 50p.
Find it via Sportsbook > Darts > World Matchplay > Phil Taylor Special > Taylor to win World Matchplay
World MatchPlay 2014
5/2
£50
£175.00
Taylor to win World Matchplay
Phil Taylor Special
Bet Ref: O/0140260/0000076
i trust that is sensible?
Yes fine
What is our portfolio as we speak? We only backed 4 haven't we? 2 with money back if taylor wins?

Have we backed everyone left yet?
Think Cliff Lazarenko is still a loss for us.

Whilst we are discussing football fixtures in advance. The Scottish season gets underway on 9th August, the most anticipated game has to be Rangers v Hearts in the Championship. Even as a Celtic fan I am looking forward more to seeing the Championship with Rangers, Hearts, Hibs all in there along with Falkirk and Queen of the South it promises to be competitive.
As many on here know for large periods last season I was very anti Hearts whenever I could bet against them I did. It was for large spells like getting free money. However, since the takeover they have gone quietly about their business they have a new first team coach and the experienced Craig Levein is in as Director of Football (love him or hate him he knows what he's doing at this level) player wise although they have lost some experience they have got rid of, imo a few players who were overpaid, overrated and quite frankly liabilities. They have brought in a few players who have operated at a higher level and who done well in the SPL for Levein at Dundee United. Namely Prince Bauben and Morgaro Gomis. They have also brought n former Rangers and Scotland GK Neil Alexander.
They have brought in Soufian El Hassnoui who previously played in Holland, and although not prolific over there I am sure he will prove to be a decent signing. He reminds me of Mark de Vries who done well for Levein at Hearts.
With their finances in order and the players having security I feel many of the yougsters from last season who played well in spells will be much more grounded and be ready for the challenge. Fom what I have heard also Robbie Neilsen is apparently a very good coach.
I don't see Hearts out of the top 2, indeed I think they will win the division. Although Rangers had previously cantered the divisions lower than this they hadn;t been convincing in doing do, they literally bought their way to where they are now which is what them got them into the mess they were in previously which led to liquidation. They have a poor manager and an ageing squad that is overpaid.
I think 7/2 is value for Hearts. I'd have made them slightly shorter to win outright. But I like the 7/2 @ 1/3 of the odds e/w with Billy Mountains. I'm very sweet on this and have invested quite a bit myself. For Fred I think £100 e/w Hearts is a good season long sweat.
I'd also consider trying to recoup some of our funds as early as the first game of the season by backing Hearts @ 3/1 to get off to a win at Ibrox.
(anyone who knows)
What is the current situation with Rangers please? finances/points deductions etc etc
Kris Boyd scored 20+ in the SPL last season so should at least get that a division lower?
not interested in partisan stuff, thanks

Fizzing at SkyBet, been messing around and trying not to deposit but having placed a winning bet in the 3:40 at Sandown.
Still waiting on bet being settled but in mean time missed a horse I wanted to be with that won at 10/1. Sky's excuse is they ask for 30 minutes for bets to be settled. Never waited 30 minutes for a bet to be settled unless its been some obscure market in the middle of the night.
Suppose this is what happens when you bet with 2bob bookmakers. #greatweek

The truth is nobody knows, since Liquidation the new owners don't give out much in terms of what is going on. The bloggers who brought the news of liquidation still report all is not well with finances. Not likely to be any immediate points deduction. Boyd is a decent aquisition for them no doubt.

Stubbs must have a huge rebuilding job on his hands there. They must have released 10+ first teamers. Not heard much coming in, except El Alagui who couldn't get a game for Dundee United but was previously decent at Falkirk iirc. Think Hearts will be better, but perhaps not "clearly".

Valverde off the podium as has been looking likely for the last few days
how would he be expected to do in the TT versus Peraud, Pinot etc?
Looks pretty cooked

Definitely. I true think the value is in e/w part of bet. And we have a decent chance of scooping both parts.
Alan Stubbs, who I like and think is very personable is untested in management the squad is weak. New Chief Executive in town who done well with Motherwell but they lost a few players and don't have the same quality of youth player that Hearts have. And many of the Hearts squad, particularly the younger ones are sure to be mentally tougher given last years events.

He's regarded as being a good TT rider in comparison with the other GC guys, I'm told. Only two seconds off third and fifteen off second.

would you be backing Contador at 5/2 , in his rejuvenated form in 2014 to beat Froome/Sky?
is there any e/w podium value..markets pay 1/4 1,2,3 and Nibali and up are 8/1 (2/1 a place...)
http://www.oddschecker.com/cycling/tour-de-france/winner
Quite like Nibali ew for the Tour. Think his record is a podium finish in 6/7 last Grand tour events, and a friend of mine who is big into it thinks he is peaking for the tour.
Disclaimer, this has only been picked up in watching 3 months of cycling.
Not sure why we didn't follow obvious cycling types like me and Tighty?!
