I like Portland to win their division 10/11 at the moment on WH. OKC are the only real contenders there with Denver being pretty poor so far this season, and with Westbrook a couple weeks away from returning, and Durant perhaps 4-6 weeks away, they are going to have go on a hell of a run to even make the playoffs with that squad healthy. Until those guys return, OKC are going to continue to have a tough time of it. Seems like the odds will change after tonight too, depending on blazers vs bulls result which is on right now.
Any basketball guys have thoughts?
cracking bet imo i have had a lump on it at 10/11. Happily recommend £55 for fred if we want to tie up money til April. It's an effective arb with lads 10/11 and 7/4 the front two. Virtually impossible any other team wins.

Also at Hills Raptors 4/11 for their division and Eagles at 4/5 in the nfl for their division is a worthy treble. Hills are top on their own all 3. All 3 are value imo.

Hi Eddy,
Well ArgueBoy LOVED the bet, & 10/11 beats the other prices by a very long way, Coral go 1/2, & Ladbrokes are 4/9!
So we have had £55 @ 10/11, with Wm Hill, Portland to win Northwest Div.
Thank you.
BET PLACED

We are on Portland now, to add to our bulging NBA portfolio, most of which seems to be in good shape so far. It's a shame we lost Jeff Kimber, as he always had useful NBA insight, but it is what it is.
If you could keep updating Fred on our NBA results, it'd be a great help, as Tighty is getting overwhelmed.
Thanks.

Any night i am up watching the games i will do a summary of the night's action before i go to bed like last night which affect all our ante post positions. Tighty loves the game though! Don't want to stand on his toes with the daily updates.

Absolutely, but if you fill in the itty-bitty detail, it still leaves room for him to do his whimsical, laconic headline stuff & geeky stat bits, plus he generally finds us a nice photo or two.
The Daily Reports are the backbone of Fred, but it's just getting to much for one man, so sharing the load won't upset him, I'm pretty sure of that.

I presume you following Mr Channing in the Fixed brush Hurdle....
If anyone fancies anything else in that race, BF sportsbook are 5 places in a 16 runnner race its got to be worth getting involved with those terms, although maybe wait until closer to the race, as a NR wouldn't be good obv
I don't know if Tighty is around today, but I've bet Neil's horse on my own account, & beat his recommended price, too. Will decide later if we should tx the bet to Fred. I had £25 EW.
That 5 places thing from Betfair Sportsbook is a bit complicated for me to work out, as they are a much shorter price, so it may cancel itself out?
Also, I saw Betfair Sportsbook advertising this.....
3/1+ Racing Special
Back a winner at 3/1 or greater at Haydock or Ascot this Saturday and receive a free bet token to the same value
1
Place a single bet on any race at Haydock or Ascot this Saturday
2
If your horse wins at SP odds of 3/1 or greater, you will receive a free bet token to the same value, up to £25
3
On top of this we'll DOUBLE YOUR FREE BET if your horse wins by 3 lengths or more, up to £50
That looks stunning value, but when I tried to open the page, it said "Promotion Now Closed".
Lets see what others, & the maths boys, think.
I can't "spoil" the BE Free Tip, but others can find it here.....

At present, that sauggested price can be beaten in several spots.
I wouldn't rush for that offer, 3/1 and over isn't so great and they aren't that great with prices. The 3 lengths or more sounds like something that doesn't really happen often. Plus think I am probably restricted on offers anyway given they only lay me a quid.

Thanks Doobs. The Promo seems to have disappeared now, anyway.
I am on at qtr odds, 4 places, 12/1, BOG, which, I think, is OK
Just need to avoid further non-runners now. Oh, & run well.

yeah the free bet doesnt pay for the diff in price for many, both books going 5 places in the 2.25 are poor, even more so then normal.

I'm a sucker for the highlight reel but I loved LeBron's finish of the alley oop pass from Irving where he rolled it in with one hand. It was such a bad pass and his body was so awkward to catch it but he made it look easy. I can't find a decent quality clip on Youtube of it to share.
Cavs looked pretty average. I can't believe that they are still big favourites for the title. I suppose much of it is just because they are in the East. Wizards are a fun team to watch though, I am going to try to catch more of their games.
Thanks for the very strong Toronto tip at the start of the season. Your confidence convinced me to put a decent chunk on before the first game!
Quote from: arbboy on November 22, 2014, 03:41:49 AM
Mixed night on the NBA. Toronto (as usual) have hosed up by 40 at home to the in form Bucks to go 10-2. They really are looking like the real deal. 2/5 with skybet they win their division is stealing money for anyone who can get it and willing to tie money up for 5 months. You don't get 40% in the bank. Couldn't put anyone off topping up on them ew at 40/1 for the nba title either. 20/1 to win the East is a huge price given how bad the Cavs are playing and how injury prone the Bulls are. Parker (ROY bet) had another good solid game even in a big defeat (15 points 6 rebounds 3 assists) for the Bucks.
Spurs hosed up on the road by 25ish at the time of writing. I had a detailed look at the Spurs first 10 games and they were really unlucky not to be 9-1 against some really tough opponents (most of them on the road). They have only been beat more than 5 in one game all season and they rested their entire team that night. As i said before i really like the spurs next month's schedule they could easily go on a 15 game win streak. Ladbrokes have gone 11/10 they win their division today and i think we should top up with another £50 at 11/10.
Rondo has had a terrible night assist wise (albeit against the best defence in the league so it was exepected tonight) with only 4 assists. Paul didn't play tonight and Wall (3rd in standings only had 6 assists in his game so the damage isn't that bad).
Cavs lost on the road to the Wiz. They really are looking poor as a unit. It's early days but i watched their whole game tonight on BT sport and they were really poor. They have longer term chemistry issues which i am not convinced are that easy to solve. Their rookie coach might be struggling here to cope with the expectations/ dealing with 3 all stars on his team. Cavs now have a 5 game home stand and a further 4 games after that against East coast teams (9 total games against East teams which is the weaker conference) so the next 2 weeks for the Cavs is key. During this 9 game sequence they play all 3 of this season's games against the Raptors, 2 of them at home. Similar to the Spurs they have a very easy month ahead and should improve but will they sufficiently improve to be able to live up to early season expectations?
