Any thoughts on MOTM for tonight?

Seems fairly clear that England have to be better at the breakdown (Robshaw obvious contender against Warburton) and have to stop Jamie Roberts (Luther Burrell will shine if that happens)

16/1 the skipper (whinner - 14/1 elsewhere)
33/1 Luther (Spoils & Scuy - 25/1 elsewhere)

Seem far better bets than England outright to me.

Who chooses it? BBC? Sponsors?

they are related? team that wins the match has man of the match? (unless its very close with under 5 to go and the lead changes late)

if you don't think england win, pick a welsh motm....if you do, bets above look fine. both, as you say, important players

think the co-comms chooses it.

Yes, that's my reasoning. Wales deservedly big favourites against The Saxons. If England were to upset the afalcart, barring someone getting a hat trick or Ford scoring 18 points, my immediate thought is the England midfield.

Wales are favourites because they are at home.  Nothing else.  If England were at home they would be favs.  FWIW sporting index are keeping England onside with their spread quote.  Their trader the best in the business on rugby.

Wish I knew what he was seeing. The extent of English creativity is a slow inside ball off the fly half, unlike in the autumn internationals it went to a forward instead of a winger, but he still got isolated and turned over. Awful. Haskell looked like a schoolboy there too, I know he wants to stop the offload so feels like going high is the way forward, but you need to stop the man too. Admittedly they were rather unlucky the Welsh 8 picked the ball out of their hookers legs whilst going backwards. Shame the ref missed it.

I doubt Gethin agrees!

Fascinating first half.

fucking fifteen phases later we pull it back with the tmo. What a load of bollocks.

Fwiw I have no idea how far back he can check, but it was fairly obvious at the time and I'm surprised the ref didn't see/missed it. Thank god its not going to be more of a talking point.

Can't help feeling a little hard some by. Thought Robshaw was excellent. 23 tackles today, which was 9 more than anyone else in white, plus a team-leading 2 turnovers. Missed 0 tackles. Can't ask much more of a seven than that.

Steve O gone on the jump.  Skiing a bit of a lottery and they threw the 4 favourites together, then he messed up the air jump.  GG.

Tindall gets the outside draw and the Golden Ticket. Producers got all the big prices early doors obv.

ICC World Cup

I think that Chris Gayle at 30/1 is big for an each way bet for top batsman. West Indies face UAE , Ireland and Zimbabwe in group B and i think big scores for Gayle in these games are a big possibility. India's attack looked nothing special recently over here, and if the West Indies turn up as a team they could finish runners up in the group. As far as top bowler goes, Morne Morkel always bowls well here and might be worth a shout at 15/1. Speculative 5 pounds each way on both. Going to be a great competition.

I'll be around this morning, & briefly mid-afternoon, but that's it for today, need to sort the allotment out.

Personally, that logic looks sound to me, but I'm no cricket judge, & it does not start for a week, so I'll leave that one to Tighty if I may.

Is Gayle the one who has the occasional sulk?
