You cannot be serious?

MAX bet time, or as much as betty sportsbook will take.

http://www.countryliving.co.uk/news/vote-britains-national-bird

Robin is 1/2 with Coral, 5/4 from 2/1 with Mountains, but still 2/1 with Betty Sp.

Should be long odds-on imo.

for crying out loud.

shouldnt we be maxing the 5/4 as well?

The only piece of trivia I know about this show is the producers needed special permission from the TV suits to show a programme featuring an unmarried couple living together.

I watched a synopsis of the four series of Game of Thrones the other day. How times move on!

Kingfisher at 7/1 has got to be the worst bet ever.

I didn't even know they even visited Britain, let alone seen one of the fuckers.

And where the hell is sparrow in this list? Absolute nap that is identified as the British national bird by most.

Complete farce.

What about the hawk?

Surely everyone remembers that poem about King Harold at Hastings.

"On his horse with his hawk on his hand".

highly unlikely Robin will lose. Barn Owl will also be popular as 'National Bird'

Some of the other 8 are massive outsiders, but no idea how many people will vote. BBC Springwatch doesn't happen until end of May after voting closes and that could have had a huge influence on voting if someone like Chris Packham started a campaign to get viewers to vote for a certain bird. Keep an eye on Countryfile for next few weeks in case they latch on to it and give a steer. Highly likely they wouldn't but you never know. Its on my sky planner series linked so will flag it :-)

I saw a kingfisher in Stockton a few weeks ago. Brilliant blue plumage just flitting over the beck and avoiding the shopping trolley.
Saw a heron on the same day.

Robin now about the right price at 4-7.

In the absence of Sparrow, Hawk and Pidgeon, opposition is thin on the ground imo.

Can also get 1000-1 Robin being the name of Princess Katy's second sprog. Won't matter which sex either.

TfT has way more influence than Chris Packham anyway, pretty sure we're home and hosed, despite Luther's sabotage attempts.

Robin and Camel spring award double coming for sure.

Couple of bet suggestions for you:

1) Nelson Piquet Jr. to win the 2015 Formula E Championship. Not had the best results so far (8th, DNF, 2nd, 3rd, 5th), but he seems more and more comfortable every time he gets in the car (I guess that's the case for everyone, but he seems to be settling faster than other drivers). He's getting quicker and quicker too! Price is currently 10/1 which is a value spot IMO. Recommend £25.

http://www.oddschecker.com/motorsport/formula-e/drivers-championship

2) Now, this is a ridiculous long shot. Almost certainly not going to happen, but Lewis Hamilton to win every race in 2015 at 500/1 with Betway is an interesting spot. Like I say, the chances of this happening are insanely low. However, I would say that this does represent value. If you ran the season 500 times, this probably would happen once. This is not so much a suggestion, but I'm more drawing it to the attention of those who like long shots - doesn't get much longer than this! I stuck £1 on - can't go wrong with a pound  Roll Eyes

http://www.oddschecker.com/motorsport/formula-one/specials

the Piquet bet is with Paddy Power, they are the only "bookmaker" offering a market in FormulaE

so thats not possible i am afraid

goes to saved files

copies and pastes

"the list of who we can and can't bet with is on the opening post of this thread"

Can place for you if you want, will do once I've seen confirmation!
