and

anyone got any match ideas for wimbledon today?

i appreciate the first round is sometimes not too competitive, but i throw it out there....

I'm on Belic at 1.62

mens? womens?

why?

Woman, your man at BE seemed quite impressed by her last week and I expect her to ride on high today.   Not a great mind on Tennis but seems she should be shorter today.

thanks

Belinda Bencic, who won Eastbourne

http://www.oddschecker.com/tennis/wimbledon/womens/player-to-win-3rd-quarter

Kerber is 4/1 with 888/Unibet/32Red.
She can be laid at prices down to 3/1 on Betfair.

This is contrary to Fred's tournament bet on Ms. Lisicki so I just mention it as value rather than having any strong feelings.

just 32red now, others have gone 3/1

good spot though

For thread. Like finding money in the street.

Hottest day ever at #Wimbledon was 34.6C in 1976. There's a chance this could be beaten this week...

I just got matched at 9-4 on Betfair.

All logic suggests an exit but the drift in odds suggests some people know more than we do.

yes, i think the suggestion is that if they win the referendum on the EU package this weekend then its difficult to see Grexit. the government is not so tacitly advocating a no vote, though.

Josh mcquoid signed by Luton today from Bournemouth.Think somebody put up Luton for league 2 at 14/1 which I didn't really like due to goal scoring options.I know nothing about this player striker/winger so not sure if it's a strong signing making 14's look pretty good.

Nice one Peter! Thanks to some great bets my Tikay balance is now at £175.10 for what must be an astounding roi! If you could please PM me your bank details I'll send over £100.10 and leave the £70 for future gambling - unless you have any other suggestions!

Great mets with Eddie Howe by all accounts. Poshies had him on loan for a while and he's ok. Be fine in L2 but was highly regarded as a youngster and guess the knee injury knocked him back. Will never be prolific, so won't be the answer to Luton's goalscoring issues.

Team Sky have named their squad for letour:

Froome, Porte, Thomas, Kennaugh, Stannard, Rowe, Roche, Koning, Poels

i think this starts next weekend (writes off afternoons for watching eurosport)

two questions

1) the cycling team on here will come up with some ideas?

2) is my favourite nairo quntana in it this year? really liked watching him two years ago when we were seating him

Quintana is riding, current 2nd fav, main issue for him is mutiny from within, all other big riders have loyal lieutenants where as he has valverde who will be looking to ride for himself given half a chance and to assume team leadership.  quintana shortie for young rider, despite the fact he looks about 60 he's only 25.

sky team very well balanced for the cobbled stage and the high mountains, froome will be the best supported leader imo, but at 2/1 it's tight enough.

cavendish was very impressive yesterday in the british road race champs, with no kittel this year there might be a good spot to bet on him somewhere along the way. I wanted Bauke Mollema top 10 with the lack of time trialling in the route this year, but evens is a lot worse than i'd hoped for. nothing really jumps out as a bet atm

I know theres a few fellow hornets around so good place to ask:

How many goals do we expect Big Troy Deeney to score in the league this year?

I'm still waiting for most of the bookies to put up their prices for the various markets, but value would seem to be pretty thin on the ground this year. I'll mostly be recommending stage winner bets, with a couple of picks for the team classification and KOM. It's not going to be easy, but hopefully the cycling team can stumble upon a sweat or two.

I hope we get a clean Froome vs. Contador vs. Quintana vs. Nibali fight after last year's calamitous crashes. All 4 riders have strong teams, so it should be one hell of a battle.

Thanks very much!

That Piquet bet was fantastic for me! Nudges my personal motorsport ROI up to 56% after 92 bets this season Smiley

Tighty, did you miss the di Grassi bet off the spreadsheet, or did you not get on for the thread?
