Carson Palmer threw for 275 last night, putting him in 3rd on the passing yards bet

http://espn.go.com/nfl/statistics/player/_/stat/passing/sort/passingYards

a couple of those around him have had their bye week, and Palmer hasn't but the bet is certainly in the hunt at this point

nfl most passing yards   Palmer   80/1   40            £20 e/w 1/4 1,2,3

Bloody hell, that looks a nice bet.

Appreciated the "global" Update last night Rich, bit of a mish mash of good & bad there, but plenty of nice sweats.

Even with being Rivers being ahead by a big passing game and Brady having playing one less game than Palmer - this looks very decent value.

Looks one of the toughest CHC for a long time. Looks a poor e/w race.

Many clouds for me if it softens up, otherwise just watching this with interest.

The Charlie Hall does look a bad E/W race.
BALLYNAGOUR is a stand out 8/1with Paddypooper BUT it is entered in a hurdle race on the same card, (off 5lb lower mark than chase) and is their only entry, they also have Dynaste in Charlie Hall. And its ante post rules at the moment, but deff worth keeping eye on.

London Irish play Saracens on 12th March at the red bull arena in New York, announced today

ireland v italy and england v wales happen to be on the same day, fwiw, in the six nations

rugby in the US is a minority sport, primarily based out west (national team plays in colorado) with a bigger sevens presence than anything else

to give some context for the question i am about to ask

"Attendance for the USA Sevens tournament has grown steadily from 15,800 in 2004, to 52,000 fans at Sam Boyd Stadium in Las Vegas in 2011.

The 2011 College Premier Division national championship match between Cal and BYU drew a crowd of 11,000 at Rio Tinto Stadium.

A friendly match between the US and Ireland in 2009 drew 10,000 fans to Buck Shaw Stadium in Santa Clara

a friendly match between the US and Italy in 2012 drew over 17,000 fans to BBVA Compass Stadium in Houston.

This was followed by 20,000-strong crowds at BBVA Compass Stadium vs. Ireland in June 2013 and Scotland in June 2014;

these records were smashed in November 2014 however when an historic sell-out crowd of 61,500 watched the match against New Zealand at Soldier Field"

there is no history of european club rugby going to the US. As far as I am aware little profile for English clubs over there

home crowds in the uk for saracens are 7,000 and irish are 6,500, which may not be relevant but there aren't thousands going to be travelling across to support their teams

http://www.premiershiprugby.com/stats/attendance.php#LK0Eo41agKXAbLoK.97

set against that

NYC has a big Irish presence
a novelty factor
some profile after the RWC
Saracens have two US Internationals Chris Wyles and Hayden Smith

so, and accepting we are in the dark to some extent, are you surprised to see betfair's sportsbook quote 8/1 a crowd of under 24,000?

https://www.betfair.com/sport/special-bets?marketId=924.37263809&id=25351&competitionEventId=1491438&action=loadMarket&competitionId=25351&modules=multipickoutrightmarkets@1471&tabName=&tabName=UK&selectedTabType=COMPETITION&utm_medium=SocialOrganic&utm_source=2147150&utm_campaign=8882721&utm_term=4945338&utm_content=120463926&utm_ad=293559990&rfr=798967&dclid=CIH0z6r04sgCFSJg2wodPP4B3Q

i think i was. it will be heavily marketed by US rugby of course, but i couldn't have unders at 8/1 here

They could literally give 25000 tickets to schools for free.  Think you need to factor that in.  Very unlikely they just let it play out in front of an empty stadium.

If the bet was 8/1 24000 people pay full price for a ticket then it is probably a max bet.

Menorah was spot on for first run last season, Hobbs had wishful thinking in great nick on sunday. If he turns up the same as last year theres only a couple could beat him and theyd need to be close to their best.
