i can't do 888 or bet365 at the moment, reading the above
of the various suggestions, what should i be doing on
bournemouth v west ham
bournemouth have been backed into evens, and we want west ham in some form?
http://www.oddschecker.com/football/english/premier-league/bournemouth-v-west-ham/winner
newcastle v man u
man u have been backed into 4/5 and it appears we want to oppose them
http://www.oddschecker.com/football/english/premier-league/newcastle-v-man-utd/winner
at places like hills, corals, laddies, betfred, betvictor...
simple please, my brain is in tatters from plate spinning

Personally, I'd not be confident enough to do either, but I'm a nit.
I just think West Ham are better than they are traditionally perceived to be, here's a team on the upswing, if there were a time to be getting with them most weeks it would be this season.
Man U v Newcastle? The latter have shown nothing so far to enthuse about, & I believe Man U will get better.
Will get behind whatever we bet, if we do, obv.

Newcastle are the home team Tikay.
I'll leave it with you and Tighty - happy to get the bet on if required :-)

Yes, was aware of that, just typed it in a hurry, & 4/1+ is huge for a home team, but they just strike me as unreliable, if they were a racehorse they'd get at least one Timeform squiggle. Maybe blinkers or a hood might do the trick, or a oood thrashing with the whip.
Honestly, happy to leave it with Tighty. I don't envy Tighty one bit, sorting these decisions out, but he seems to do pretty well without input from Lord Nit. If it were me, we'd still have our opening Bankroll.

Not sure why people think west ham are mis priced? Cherries are in good nick and West Ham really struggled at Watford to cope with a high energy game (with Payet) and will face similar at Bournemouth with or without the new players.

They don't, I'm the only one. And you know how much I know about football......
Best to ignore me. But if I were betting, that's where my money would be.

Both are in very good form. WH are unbeaten in 8, Bournemouth have lost 1 in their last 9.
I don't think there is a lot between the teams so I guess backing WH at the bigger price is fine.
I think backing unders looks good, WH have scored 6 goals, conceded 2 in their last 7 games. Bournemouth have scored 7 and conceded 5 in their last 7 games.
So neither team has been prolific and both have been defensively sound. I've backed 0-0.

Been reading
"The Secrets of Pricewise".
Certainly not the best book I've ever read, but not quite the worst, either. Really, it's an advertorial for the Racing Post.
It has sections on all three of the "Pricewise" authors, starting with Mark Coton, then Mel Collier, & finally, the incumbent, Tom Segal. It was Tom who had that famous sequence of 11 in a row, back in 2005.
Was quite interested to see numerous references to, & photos of, the various "Spotlight" writers, & was hoping to see reference to Chompy. Not a word, though to be fair, they just cherry-picked the best ones.

For balance, because we love the Dancing Saveloy, a google search revealed this tweet (genuine).
@Martinlarious Best Spotlight ever was Graham Wheldon's re: Vicky Pollard - 'Yeah but no but needs to improve'. Can't believe it got through
Gawk knows what it was all about, or when, though. Off to google "Vicky Pollard" now.

Oh my, it's amazing what diamonds you unearth when you start trawling google.

Too busy to read that? No worries. Here's the gist of it.
"Who is your poker hero? This will probably surprise people but they are Tony Kendall and Kevin O'Leary. Tikay is just a legend.......

Never that good imo
A showy defender who stood out as he scored a few goals and his pace got him out of lots of trouble

Quick question - I watched Man Utd at the weekend and they looked awful to me, completely clueless going forward.
They play Newcastle this week.
Newcastle are 4/1 with Billy.
I know Newcastle are hardly world beaters but 4/1 ? Looks big to me.
Grateful for opinions.
I like this. 4/1 is still available too ( betfair is 7/2). BMU are also 2.125 for Newcastle +0.5 AH for those who want a lower variance route. I prefer this as a draw (0-0 or 1-1) seems quite possible. Whatever your play, I think Utd are far too short given their problems in front of goal. 5/6 away from home, to quote arb " is about 1/5 if they were at home"
Another game that feels, dare I say it, wrong is West Ham to win at Bournemouth. Not for Fred but 14/5 with bet everyday beats betfair. I would rate the hammers with Payet a much better side now than Bournemouth so would expect Bournemouth to be north of 6/5. They are best priced 11/10. Is there any team news I've missed? It just feels like an over reaction to the Afobe signing ( how good is he??) and Valencia being doubtful.
Of the two, I prefer - by a long way - the West Ham price. West Ham are not over-achieving, they have a lot of potential imo & will continue to do well for a while yet. They currently sit 6th in the EPL. Tough team to beat these days.
Re B'mouth.
King is unlikely to play due to injury. All 3 new "big" signings are yet confirmed to be available tonight. Obviously clearance might come through on one,two or all 3.....but if not, its probably Murray up front on his own, which is no way ideal for a price just above evens.
If neither Afobe, Iturbe or Grabban are in the starting line up I would recommend the nitty..... Hammers draw /no bet at 19/10 with 88888.com
word from the chairman is all 3 will be available!.......so no bet for me.
