Romford dogs tonight it's not a card that is popular on a Saturday night but I was waiting opening show for the 9.04, however Bet365 have priced early for some reason.

Pretty sure they are out a little even though they have priced up a 134% book. Totti Louise dropped in grade, into an that certainly isn't the toughest either. Drawn to have a chance at leading the inside and should she do that I can see her winning this with a bit to spare. They've opened 3/1 don't think you will get this at any point later tonight so anyone able to get a bet there i'd recommend taking it.

Race went exactly as planned, only hiccup was the 3 dog coming from behind us. It's a strong dog for sure but we should have had enough in hand ourselves to lead from the 3rd and win. Nevermind, also surprised to see the 3/1 SP.

Only one more bet for me tonight at Romford and thats in the 10.24, Tonerich @ 9/2.

Thanks great stuff.

Ding Liren wins. He ground down one of the most solid players in the world and starts with a perfect score.
Thanks for the chess write up. For as much as I know understand about the participants your preview looked bang on the money.

Given how the round 1 fixtures played out, would we be correct in assuming our man has 7 games as white and 6 as black, with favourite Magnus Carlsen at a minor disadvantage of having 6 games as white and 7 as black?

Hey Exstream, the ladbrokes £50 max offer beats betfair for around £4 but two of the teams in this offer are both drifting.  So many of these enhanced offers are terrible.

Hello TfT, been AWOL for a month or so, just life & stuff getting complicated. Found a few minutes for a possible ski bet.

Womens GS in Flachau, Sunday, two runs, the first early 8.15 UK.

http://medias1.fis-ski.com/pdf/2016/AL/5100/2016AL5100SLR1.pdf

Simply, Lindsey Vonn is the best speed skier ever. But not a Giant Slalom specialist (GS). However, over her career she has 4 firsts (last one in December at Are, Sweden)

& plenty of podium places. She excels on the easier hills, where she can carve her trade mark turns & find a fast rhythme. Flachau is rarely run on the womens tour & considered one of the less difficult slopes. Alot depends on the course set by the Swiss coach, but I'll only get that info after inspection around 7am. A fair dump of snow expected, but that should give Vonn a small edge with her size & power.

The top GS women: Eva-Maria Brem is consistent & technicaly excellent, but has lacked spark this year. Lara Gut, full on dynamic skier, but prone to errors. Federica Brigone, probably the fastest & most committed GS skier this season, but can throw in the odd DNF (tempted at around 8/1) but I think this hill does'nt quite fit her skills.

Vonn is out of the top 6 seeds for GS, but has got a decent bib draw of #10. Always races on the edge, relying on her skills to get her out of trouble, but when she rips a clean run she'll be in with a decent shot. Available at 18/1 Hills & 16/1 elsewhere (under Winter Sports, Oddschecker, don't seem have it at the moment). Scuy allow me £1.56  Roll Eyes But worth a tenner if you like & see this in time.

Hopefully, be around a bit more. Belated Happy New Year all.

Last Big Bash league game of the season, before they go into the play-off's. Melbourne Renegades need a big win to boost their net-run rate in order to make the top 4, so that has to be noted when you're considering a bet in this game. The bet I think is good value is Ludeman to beat Cooper in a batsman matchbet. It shouldn't be hindered by the need for The Renegades to take more risks than normal, if anything it could be beneficial as Cooper will have to really go for it when Ludeman can play his natural game.

Korral have a batsman matchbet (number 1), Ludeman (Strikers) at evens v Cooper (Renegades) at 4/5. Ludeman has been in fine form lately, his last 4 innings being 57*, 57*, 30 and 26. In contrast Cooper has spent very little time at the crease due to being their usual number 7 batsman. He's been promoted to open when Finch and Wade have gone on intentional duty, and he's had scores of 1 and 25. Over their career's Ludeman averages just over 30 compared to Cooper, who averages under 24. Another positive is that The Strikers have bowlers who've been in the wickets like Rashid and Laughlin, where as The Renegades have been struggling to take wickets at a regular rate this tournament.

So on current form Ludeman looks the better shout, his career stats are more consistent and he's facing the weaker attack of the 2. Can't see why Ludeman isn't favourite. Makes even less sense when they have Ludeman o/u 22.5 runs, and Cooper o/u 20.5 runs. Obviously variance for T20 is high, but seems worthy of an interest. No oddschecker link I'm afraid.

Ding gets an extra White, yes.

Colour isn't a major issue for Carlsen. Being a quiet player that gets better as the game goes on and who doesn't focus on getting an edge from the opening, it doesn't really after whether he has an extra white or black.

The last round is Carlsen v Ding. Hopefully, that matters.

Vonn, 1.25 sec back after the 1st run. Tricky course set, but she had the speed, fastest through the speed check, but a couple of mistakes. 2nd run at 11.15, just about in touch, not impossible, but will need a real charge.
