Bet Tway are quarter the odds three places for Champo top scorer, and go 9-2 Ross McCormack.

McCormack is 4-7 to join Smoggies this window and 6-4 to stay with Fulham, according to Scuy.

If he goes he'll be their main man and obv his prospects of finishing top of the charts will improve.

Seems a good EW spot for those that can.

The way we play doesnt lend itself to our number 9 banging goals in for fun, they are in the team to work their socks off, close defenders down and help set up chances for team mates. If he plays in the hole behind, he may get a fair few, but I wouldnt bet on Karanka changing the way we play to suit McCormack, its a team game up here and the goals are spread rather evenly about.

IMO he still wont get as many chances as his competitors for the crown will.

Jordan Spieth, the world #1 golfer and reknowned phenomenon received a warning for his slow play today in Abu Dhabi during the opening round of the showcase curtain-raising tournament for the 2016 European Tour season.

Apparently he will be fined £2000 if he repeats the offence this week.

Is it just me that this amount seems somewhat paltry to?

Chess update.

After a rest day on Wednesday, the main event in Wijk aan Zee resumed for round five of thirteen.

Our man, China's Ding Liren, faced 2015 World Cup winner Sergei Karjakin, who was the youngest person ever to be a Grandmaster at just 12 years 7 months old, 14 years ago.

A fiery game ensued but our man prevailed. Here's the crosstableagyer five rounds:

Aren't you under FFP sanctions? Rumours up here saying 8/9m and Kike. Daily Mail seems to think RM is about to hand in a transfer request. With how widely it is being reported, I would say it has chance of going through.

At the risk of sounding ike a twat, this is his chance to move to a club with a chance of getting I to the premier League, that chance won't be around forever.

Incred.

VCdontbet seem to have changed all their prices?

It's almost like one of their loltraders is always reading TfT?

Got an idea for you...stop altering prices and telling punters the line has changed mid-bet. That a deal?

Afternoon Vc loltraders.  What is it like being so bad at your job and still getting paid and living in the sun?  Amazing life isn't it!

Must be time for another Mardle 'coup' to send them the wrong way and make it obvious they are reading us and moving without seeing any action.

They're getting a reputation for moving without action these days.

Met of mine tried to back Andy Carroll to make the England squad recently.

He got the 'Click-spinning clock-price has changed' number. They're the best at this.

I can confirm they had action before they moved.

We are under FFP embargo. That doesnt mean we need to sell. 9m plus Kike is not what hes worth. Best attacking player in league by a mile. Hoping Slav convinces him that if no upturn in latter season can go in summer.

Jakubiak mooted loan move to Peterborough.  Quite highly though of so might help out the Pererboro bet.  Presumably to fill some of the gap left by Washington leaving.

Prestige heats start tomorrow at Hall Green with 18 entrants, and the top 2 from each heat going into the final live on sky next week.

Had a little study up of the antepost and heat markets and like the look of an unexposed local dog making the step up in trip.

In the third heat, T3 Leons Buck has posted some seriously fast times over the shorter (480m) trip and was likely held back from the open scene for the intertrack last month. It trialled last week over the longer for the first time and again put up some nice numbers for first time over that trip. Think it has a chance to lead the inner here and 6/1 for the race and 25/1 antepost certainly appeal (B365 for both).

In the second heat I also would advise taking the 11/8 B365 want to lay about Fizzypop Buddy in 6. The antepost favourite has a draw to die for and I cannot see him being this side of evens all things being equal tomorrow afternoon.

1232 - Fizzypop Buddy 11/8
1333 - Leons Buck 6/1 (&25/1 antepost)

If anyone bet the above - the heats are being run this evening after Tuesday's abandonment, and i'm told that if you were on at the prices above they will be honoured (by B365).

Will also have some Romford thoughts on around lunchtime today.

Thanks Tal.

Some detail on this please?

"A fiery game ensued...."

Was it like all out attack, 4-3-3, rush goalie or similar?
