What's happened to Kev Cadle? I assume he has been up to no good behind the scenes and stepped out of line somewhere. He wrote a book and promoted it and i assume he must have said something in his book to annoy someone. He has been the SS anchor for NBA/NFL for as long as they have covered it, great at the job, highly paid i imagine for the relatively tiny part time role he always had work wise in terms of the number of days he worked and highly knowledge about both sports and still is the greatest ever coach in UK basketball history imo given what he did in the late 80s with Guildford and London Towers. It seems a huge downgrade to have this girl anchoring now as Tikay says she isn't the best. It isn't like KC has moved on for a bigger and better job so it makes no sense at all.
Jeff is great at his role. Neil could easily be the anchor but i thought he worked better working off Cadle as the anchor personally.
Congrats on the Falcons ante post coup Tal.
On the Thanksgiving Show last year, he gave the other presenters a copy of his book each as a present and plugged it at least 10 times on air.
He was only seen once after that in 2015 and not at all this season.
I assume that he was told not to promote his book on the programme.
Story fits. Such a shame. His book is never going to make him anything like a years salary on sky. I can't believe he would ruin a job for life which he will never be able to repeat on such an easy scale workwise relative to salary selling a book that would be lucky to even break even on profit wise. Egos gonna ego i suppose.

Don't watch it as much I used to, but seems she's a 100% US-style presenter for a US audience?
Why did Nick Halling get the boot? Just seems to pop up on 5's footy league highlights show now, plus a bit of boxing.
That aside, anyone else notice how many different voiceover accents Stephen Mangan does? Reckon he has at least half a dozen different accents and sometimes hard to tell it's him. Not like RichOrf with that Geordie voiceover, so obv him.

Serena Willians is 1.61/1.62 to beat Konta tonight. Wimbledon prices are 7/4 and 25/1 respectively.
These prices seem massively inconsistent.
I think Konta must still be value for Wimbledon, but is Serena value tonight? If you break down Serena's price, it can't be that far off Serena to beat Konta is the same price as her winning both the Semi and Final afterwards. Pliskova is 14/1 for Wimbledon for instance.

Nick Halling and Mike Carlson coupled must be the two most under paid and over talented operators in the game. Just shows how image/ego wins over substance in the fickle media world.

I haven't watched a minute of the birds aussie open but i would say two things. Serenas biggest edge is her serve on grass. Secondly she definitely isn't a first time out horse who is fully wound up for the first major of the year. She def needs to play her way into peak fitness even more so the older she gets. Also she has just got engaged so i can't imagine she is fully focused in the off season this season fwiw.
All that said it does seem a big fucking price!

AFAIK Halling chose to switch to boxing.

I think you are right but he is massively wasted not doing US sports. He is very good at boxing as well. I think these two could turn their hand to most sports and do them better than most specialists would. A bit part SS boxing contract for halling probably pays better than a full time US sports deal elsewhere. I just think these two are so much better than the roles they get.

Oldham pitch bobbly.
Oldham 0 shots on target. Posh 0 shots on target.
Oldham 2 shots off target. Posh 0 shots off target.
So far so good.

Arbboy trolling again.
I quite enjoyed Halling a few years ago on the NFL, but Neil Reynolds is an upgrade.
His boxing commentary is not to my taste. I get his enthusiasm for the sport - he does come across as a fan - but it's not exactly regarded as the best.
He does some kammy/Neil Mellor/Bianca Westwood style reporting at football games for BT on Saturdays.
Always comes across as having done some homework, but I wouldn't put him in the Carlson bracket. He's more Pike than Waddell.

NR is as plastic as they come and is totally one sport dimensional. Come on Tal you are better than that especially after rolling a 20/1 poke into the superbowl!

I really don't like covering bets, but couldn't resist at this price. I was expecting her to be less than 1.5.

Halling no longer does the boxing on Sky. His contract wasn't renewed last year. Personally I thought he was brutal.

She is one of the greatest ever male or female but i have spent 10 years watching her just thinking she thinks 'i can serve at 132mph and no one else can and i don't really need to stick it in and follow the tour and just turn up and mop up slams'. I might be wrong but she is just a physical freak but getting engaging in the off season at her age really might make her liable to an upset. I am amazed how well she has aged although sport in general seems to be aging well in the last 10 years. Can anyone believe Joe Perry is the same age as Ronnie and me barring a year or so. I thought Joe Perry was 50!

FFS, penalty given for nothing and then they go and score a second.
