Chinese GP this weekend, and I've got a few bet suggestions based on what I've seen so far, unusually for me, all at the front end of the grid.

Pole Position - Kimi Raikkonen @ 20/1 with Betfair and Paddy Power. It's going to be hard for anyone to beat Mercedes in qualifying, but if anyone's going to do it, it might well be Kimi Raikkonen. Kimi was fundamentally quicker than Sebastian over one lap last weekend, although Sebastian did manage to pull it out in Q3. That's by no means a guarantee though, and the price of 20/1 can not be overlooked. It's worth noting that Kimi has been quicker than Sebastian in both practice sessions so far, in what appeared to be similar car set-ups too. Suggest £10.

Race Winner - Sebastian Vettel @ 3/1 with various. Similar to last week, Lewis is the clear favourite, but I feel that 3/1 is a little bit too high. For those wondering, I did advocate Kimi being quicker above, but that's over one lap, not a race distance. Kimi struggles for consistency over long runs. Suggest £20.

Top Three Finish - Kimi Raikkonen @ 9/4 with William Hill. Reasons per the two bets above; the Ferrari is good in race trim. Wouldn't go any lower than 9/4 though. Suggest £25.

Meanwhile, in the Rome ePrix, markets are still extremely limited, despite my requests. However, Ladbrokes always offer a race win market.

Race Winner - Felix Rosenqvist @ 5/1 with Ladbrokes. Rome is a brand new track for the calendar, and Felix is one of the fastest learners on the grid, his record across multiple race series demonstrates this. In addition, his car isn't too shabby either. Suggest £25 for now. I may throw in a few more bets, or increase the stake, depending on how the practice and qualifying sessions play out. Will do it on a new post so you don't need to be checking for edits.

Was so so close on the Raikkonen bet! Couldn’t see 20/1 anywhere annoyingly maybe at the start of the weekend? Was 12/1 best this Morning.

Great tipping on the qualifying Peter, but it ws even too late for me and suspect I was on a different clock to Tighty.

No need to apologise for not getting the bet on, I figured that was probably the case. It's an extremely busy weekend for me with both F1 & FE running, I apologise for not having the time to post earlier.

It's a good job you didn't get the bet on, as for the second time in two races, Kimi was pipped by Sebastian's very last lap.

I'll be re-reviewing markets periodically as the day progresses (both F1 & FE).

Note: I got the bet on minutes before I posted it, if it was 12/1 this morning then perhaps some people did manage to get on? Smiley

Can we get 25 each way on Vieux Lion Rouge at 33/1 for the National.  He has won over the National fences before, has run ok in the National twice wihout quite getting home.   I don't think I'd want one carrying too much weight in the ground.   He is a decent price for each way here, you beat betfair on the place, and the 33/1 is available in several spots.  Hopefully we'll get a decent sweat.

Cheers for I Just Know Ironside, it is still getting backed now.

Comedy scenes. 11-2 Bulgaria to win the ESC, 7-1 to win their semi-final!

Where are all the interesting GN markets this year? Number of finishers? Who starts favourite?

Re: today's race, it's worth remembering only four finished in Red Marauder's year and only six in Earth Summit's year. It's gonna be carnage out there and I wouldn't be tiddlearsing around with small edges on those towards the top of the market.

Skybet were going 2/1 less than 12 finishers. Is that anywhere else? Or similar?

Sky are 4-1 that fewer than ten finish, which is ok.

Spreadex's line is 12.5-14 and I'd go a touch lower than that. Eight or nine would be quite possible but I'd have preferred heavy rain on the day if I was selling.

It chucked it down all day when six finished. Plus the fences and landings are easier now and the horses are better quality.

Based on practice, I would suggest £10 EW (1-3 1/5) on Mitch Evans @ 25/1.
