What a great read that is, though I'm not sure if we should laugh or cry.

Gotta love that shirt number though.

Lee Ryan (Blue, just announced on strictly) went to both Sylvia Young and Italia Conti

William Hill have put him up 6-1 second favourite behind a former pussycat doll

couple of disclaimers

still six names to be announced

we haven't seen any of them dance yet

but i thought 6-1 offered some scope as you would assume he's popular with the voting demographic, is in Eastenders so on TV a lot, BBC can promote heavily, he can dance and has done most of his professional career and should go deep

lay back shorter to one of the popular "never danced before" late developers later in the comp....

Lee Ryan behaved like an utter bellend on CBB. He's always capable of imploding.

Close to getting hooked on this series of CBB. Am interested in Rodrigo (human Ken doll) at 8-1 but not ready to plough in just yet.

Roxanne Pallett is acting in there, Natalie is very annoying and Hardeep the grabby predator is beyond creepy. There'll be some big arguments this week imo.

Not for fred as its shy....

VVD 80/1 for POTY seems well out of line. The various league defensive stats for Liverpool since he signed are pretty rock solid. Should they have a great season, and early indications look like they will, he's gonna play a big role in any success they have.

Obv the competition for such a prize is gonna be immense, and playing in an 'unfashionable' position won't help his cause and it's rare for defenders to win it (Terry did back in his pomp and thats about it), but 80/1 when he's as low as 20/1 elsewhere looks some good value.

On a very similar note, Mendy is also 80/1 for the accolade (shy but also beteveryday should fred be inclined). In my totally unbiased eyes that again looks huge. Expect Pep to play 3 at the back more often this season meaning Mendy will be playing as essentially a left winger in selected games. Well worth a tenner of anyones money.

15-8 Man City-Liverpool straight forecast too big with Syk for those that can.

For those of a disposition that City will win the league and Aguero will top the scorers chart (currently 4/7 and 3/1 respectively generally) then Boylesports 10/1 for the double should be a trolley filler.

That would be lovely but don't trust oddschecker these days, it's full of garbage like this.

That was the pre-seaosn price. Same as the 7-4 that's showing about a City-Liverpool dual forecast.

Oddschecker shambolic.

Oddschecker shambolic.

Confirmed shambolic. It did look a little too good to be true tbf.

VVD gone from 80s to 40s for POTY, and Mendy from 80s to 66/1.....but crucially still 80/1 on beteveryday. Some of the prices are all over the shop (Fred 40/1, Fabregas 66/1, KDB still as little as 12/1) but I think Ozil at 33s takes the biscuit. Would have to be one fucked up season for him to get anywhere near a POTY trophy.

£50EW double please if someone can help out with 356 or Betwat?

Liverpool @ 3-1 and Barnsley at 4-1 (356) or 9-2.

Very hard to see the place part not copping, even this early, and the win double is far from impossible. Neither have conceded yet and both are genuine contenders. If anything I'd have Barnsley's squad as stronger than Sunderland's.

If anyone wants to back Liverpool for the league at 4.0 but doesn’t want to tie up their money do let me know as I’m happy to take the other side as it’ll never happen.

This is well worth a read, a footballer who had a serious gambling problem. Bit sad really.
