Not sure if any of you guys are up right now ahead of the Australian GP, however, I've just thought of something.

With Pierre Gasly starting down in 17th for Red Bull, it's quite likely that the team will put him on the alternative strategy of starting on the harder tyres and ending the race on the soft tyres. Soft tyres when the track is more rubbered in, and with a lower fuel load, gives him a great chance of getting that fastest lap point.

Suggest 20/1 at multiple bookies.

For perspective, his team mate Verstappen is 8/1 in the same market - when I would say it's more likely for Pierre.

Victor are 25/1 Bottas third first 3 for the drivers championship right now.   obv a good bet if you have an ice cream account, prob not if you want to keep it.

Emphatic victory and fastest lap for Bottas, a Mercedes 1-2, the boy Verstappen 3rd, Ferrari 4th and 5th.

What a mess. Nothing's gone as data suggested it should, I am so confused  Lips Sealed

Lots of work to be done between now and Bahrain.

Utterly dominant victory for Valtteri this weekend though, stunning!

Poor Victor, now best price 13/2.  I think most were around 16/1 yesterday, now most are around 4/1.   I didn't get a penny on.

For anyone who can get a bet on with Boils. Not sure there is anyone but still.

Womens Aussie Open.

Andreescu each way at 1000/1 is a great bet. She is in an open quarter with a great first round draw. Canadian teenager with a lot of upside who came through qualifying. She got the the final of the WTA event in New Zealand last week.

A couple of months too early, but she is fulfilling her promise.

Just back from holiday (again!), and noticed whilst on me jollies in Barbados just how tight the League 1 relegation battle is; from Plymouth in 12th to Walsall occupying the last relegation spot in 21st, there is only a 3 point gap.

Good news for Fred is that we are on Shrewsbury for the drop, and they are right in the mix, sitting 18th. Interesting one to keep an eye on for sure, plenty twists and turns to come.

Couple of bets we can probably safely chalk off. Swansea haven't pulled up any trees in the Championship but are highly unlikely to go down as it stands (currently 15th). Wolves finishing bottom half also looks very unlikely given their rush of recent form.

Ongoing sweats include the Kane and Sterling top scorer bets, and whilst not a sweat, there is still a small damp patch for Bernardo Silva for YPOTY. Truth be told, that market is Sterling's to lose, but I'm positive if you asked 1000 City fans who out of Sterling/Bernardo has had the best season, the vast majority would plump for Bernardo. Sadly for us, he just doesn't have the headline figures that Raheem has posted so far. Watch this space.

The most likely scenario is that VVD wins PFA POTY and Rahe'm wins Young POTY.

However, the same player has won both categories in the past and the market still has the pair too far apart. £3.65 are about right at 1-2 VVD, 3-1 Rahe'm.

Sterling is ungainly and it's his mincey tee rexing around that's meant it's taken longer to be put in the same bracket as Kane, but he's there for sure and he's the man of the moment.

Voting is being done now. It sayed in the Sunday papers that Slabhead voted for his England team-mate and plenty of others will follow suit. A hatty in 15 v Orns, plus his England work v the Czech Republic = recency bias.

I've flip-flopped positions here. Saturday's 8-1 is no more but there's a bit of 6-1 around still and I'd happily go as low as 9-2.

The ever changing POTY narrative. 3 weeks ago hhy put up Aguero at 5/1 when 2nd favourite to VWD.  Another 3 goals and 2 assists for Aguero since then in just 170ish minutes and he drops to 14/1. LOL.
