I've done 2 full days of sightseeing here (and one night on the piss  Cheesy )  it's a nice place with lots to see and do  Smiley

I'm staying about 2 min walk from SM Mall though. I guess if your a girl from San Fernando, a brand new shiny mall is an attraction I guess.

Just had a big thunderstorm pass over Southampton with very heavy rain and hail and regular lighting flashes so I though I'd try and get some photos.

Tricky thing photographing lighting, first identifying if it's in front or behind the house, then checking the direction then playing the waiting game.

I've just uploaded 1082 photographs I took, now to see if any of them have a lighting bolt in...

This photo was taken today by my 9 year old daughter. I think it is a wonderful capture and fits well with the "Time" theme.

It is an anchor from the "Verity", a 1,000 ton barque built in Quebec in 1888, and out of Nova Scotia. She was carrying grain in ballast in December 1889 (just a year after she had been built!), when she was hit by a violent squall and dismasted. She was wrecked off Aughrus Point after drifting disabled for some days, with the loss of two lives. This anchor was raised by local men in the mid-20th century and dragged to its current location at "The Anchor Beach", Aughrusbeg, Connemara.

Some adjustment to the levels and saturation in iPhoto. It was quite an overcast morning so the original did look a little "flat".
