Wenger says afc will not make any more signings in this window until they are able to sell some players. Says squad is "unmanageably" big.

Arsene Wenger banking on the 'hunger' of contract rebels could prove a fatal mistake

A sad slide into relative footballing obscurity beckons.

Eddie didnt want to persue a perma move, and the rhetoric coming from AW is far less encouraging than before he went on loan, when he was still heralded as an amazing talent by our Manager.

Looks like being just a squad member and only getting games when we are in dire straits.

Should leave.  Problem is if Watford (for example) enquiries I imagine he'd want 5 years on 100k per week.  Not worth the risk imo.

I'm guessing you didn't watch last evening's under-23 match as Jack played very well and looks close to being back to his best.

He reacted to a bad challenge(understandable for a guy who has been injured so many times by poor challenges) by pushing the guy gently in the chest who consequently went down like he'd been shot which caused a bit of a fracas ending up with Jack and the other manc who had steamed in after the theatrical reaction being given reds.

I think he might well play plenty of games for us if he stays and stays fit.

Here's the incident:

Incidentally - that was Jack's first red card in around five years.

I fkn hate footballers. Even at this level the guy who gets pushed has to do the standard repeatedly touching his face to check for blood. Charlatans and morons.

Used to love that shirt when I was a kid. The white sleeves were always way too baggy on my, then, very skinny body, but it was magic, and I was John Radford!

City likely to come in with another offer for Sanchez.

Just wondering if there's any point in missing out on the money if the rest of the squad isn't good enough to compete for the league this year? There's no guarantee he'll put the effort in for us either as we might already be seeing with Ozil and Ox. If we can get 50m for a player in the final year of his contract then maybe we should take it rather than pretend we're going to be competitive this year when we're probably not.

Do you not mean compete for the top four? Surely keeping him and making the top four is better than selling him for 50m and missing out on the top four? Another year of missing out has got to be a far bigger financial fall than the 50m you'd get for selling him? Not to mention the ability to attract quality players to the club.

I've got a feeling Arsenal fans will moan that Arsenal didn't cash in if he walks away next summer, even if they make the top 4. Poor old Wenger is really damned if he does and damned if he doesn't here.
