Ralph accusing Tighty of having an opinion to boost post count takes the biscuit.
discussion on football threads isn't limited to fans of the one side the thread relates to. This is one of the better football threads , and I wanted to contribute and Don't really feel I should be chastisted for doing so. I wish more people posted so sometimes I was a bit less conspicuous but I Don't think it's a bad thing that i spend countless hours posting on dozens of threads every day on things that interest me. Football happens to interest me.
Perfectly valid and rational comments Tighty. Always good to hear some non biased input. Well sort of unbiased....

This whole thread is pretty laughable.
This is a terrible slur, also, I am hurt by it
Add another couple of sad's and it'll redeem itself

Ralph accusing Tighty of having an opinion to boost post count takes the biscuit.
Arsenal could get relegated and he'd still be saying "well we'd be much worse off under Keegan"
I think you may have missed the point George, do keep up.
I asked Tighty a week or two ago why he was making provocative posts on this thread and he said that he was doing it on many threads to try and create interest.
my posts are not provocative, they are the opinions of a football fan. You are sadly hyper sensitive to criticsm of the gunners
You're understandably excited about results tonight. I suggest you stop flaming us Arsenal fans and go and pleasure yourself on the Liecesster thread

Ashley Williams man of the match- I have no idea how he isn't at a bigger club. In fact Arsenal could've done with him this year (and many others)

Tighty, are you drinking?
Your posts are "not provocative"? And the next sentence you say, "You are sadly hyper sensitive to criticsm of the gunners"
That's not provocative?

Your stirring work is done now.
I have to say that of all the many recent posts that you have made on this thread including several from the odious John Cross, I'm struggling to think of one that has been at all complimentary to the Arsenal cause.
Probably just me being hyper-sensitive though...

Not at all emotive about it, your stubbornness is huge in the face of overwhelming evidence so it probably a bit pointless posting I accept
"your stubbornness is huge in the face of overwhelming evidence so it probably a bit pointless posting I accept"
Not at all provocative. No, not at all. To a fan that is just supporting his team, his manager, his club.
If that isn't blantant trolling, I really don't know what is.

The view that it's not that bad because Arsenal are only 6 points behind and there are 30 left to play for is ridiculous. Not sure if it's serious and I'm being whooshed.
Arsenal are in a perpetual cycle of ineptitude, and if Wenger truly cares about the club he'll resign in the summer so they can start to progress again. This isn't the case of replacing a legend in his prime off the back of a title winning season. This is a case of replacing someone who was at the top of his game 12 years ago and has been declining ever since. Any Arsenal fans who think they'll be worse off once Wenger leaves should remember that they have now gone 12 years without a title. In the 12 years before he joined, they won two titles. He's now taking the club backwards and that decline needs to be arrested.

Blimey. Not stirring and not flaming. cross is the mirrors football correspondent and arsenal fan. Wrote a biography of Wenger that I enjoyed reading. It was broadly supportive of Wenger and very interesting..Why wouldn't I stick interesting links up? I do on many many threads .There is much to admire about the club, Wenger and many of the excellent players. Not capitalising on this season, assuming they Don't , makes it quite difficult to be complimentary in the short term irrespective of who i support . Surely nothing here is unreasonable?

As a neutral, I would like to say, if Wenger can't win the title this season. Then he can't win it any season. And for that reason alone, he should go in the summer.

Well you sound very reasonable now. And almost shocked at how your remarks could possibly have been misinterpreted!
Perhaps just read back what you have actually written tonight and ask yourself, "could this be seen as provocative?"

What I meant was that the situation in a vacuum is not altogether that terrible.
All of the unnecessary venting at the manager after every defeat seems totally pointless to me rather like everyone saying "I told you so", as Arsene is not going to resign this week or next month for that matter so let's make of this season what we can and get behind the team while we still have a decent shot.
Too much negative energy as Oddball would have said.
