Sportingbet do, even with a UK debit card.

Well they will if you give them the opportunity.

Not much ghasts me but I am aghast.

I'm not surprised if you spell it like that.Wink

Sportingbet charges you whichever means you use even UK debit which nobody else does AFAIK.

I mean who knows what's going to happen when you withdraw?

When did that start?  I don't recall ever being charged.

PKR now charge you for withdrawing an amount less than $100.  Coupled with their open policy on taking a commission for non-USD deposits then a few seem to be going down a dodgy path.

I think it's probably fairly recent as they say something about absorbing the deposit charges up until now in their t&c's.

Deposit charges shouldnt be anywhere near a quid for a debit card deposit.

Party did this briefly, seems like a terrible idea to me. Surely one of the most important things to a gambling site is to get people to deposit and this would insta put loads of people off.

Funnily enough the mad multi I wanted to place today they were best price so discovered this is true as of Feb 1st.  Deposits of under £250 attract the charge - and you have wager something like 70% if the £250 before withdrawing (as was considering putting the lot in and taking back out the change from bet).

Anyhow have asked them to shut my account so hopefully enough people will follow suit.

A business of their size should have a decent rate on deposit charges - certainly shouldn't be more than 50p for debit cards and more likely much less.  Pretty tight if they're profiting from it.

Add Bet24 to the PITA list -

Deposit with Mastercard and Visa branded cards on our site. This includes debit cards and credit cards with the Mastercard or Visa logo's.

The charge for depositing with card is 2,5%.

It's free to deposit via Moneybookers, but up to 4% to withdraw....
