trying unsuccesfully to find a reasonable deal for the start of June.   Stayed at Gold Coast last year but its nearly £300 more expensive this year for same stay.

Some good deals at the Plaza but it was a real dive.  I know they have refurbed from stuff that was going to be in the fontainbleau.

Whats it like now.  Can anyone help?

If your looking for downtown, i've only stayed in the cheapest rooms at the nugget, they were fair for the price.

Plaza website has a few pics, as does vegastripping - looks ok, with undertones of Plaza badness not completely replaced.

But there are a plethora of deals out there at the moment for June, what dates and what budget?  Sure there are some decent alternatives....

Use your Total Rewards card and you'll get a room at the IP for less than $200 I reckon.
Or Harrahs for no more than £30 a night on average.
