If I were going to spend 5 grand on a number plate, I'm not, the first thing I'd want to know is who I'm potentially buying it from.

The guy was an absolute bellend of a troll who wish ill health on someone because he couldn't sell a number plate

good riddance!

All the arguments aside.

Ban Guy imo.  Wink

StuHopkins post was funny and i can't see how that could be misinterpreted, its in his name.. Also i shouldn't admit it but boshi's Gertrude comment had me laughing the most.

I have had all sort of illnesses wished on myself, my family, and even my pets in poker chat boxes. Stuff like that make me  Cry

I happen to believe that describing as trolls people who were posting "£2.45" etc is a bit OTT. It was obviously lighthearted

I absolutely agree... the trolls were the ones posting £2.50 & £2.49!!

Adam

He wasn't to know this, but he would never have raised a penny on here from someone buying the plate. There's a long and unfortunate history on here with car plate threads, for starters, and people are extremely wary of others motives with these types of threads.

It's also very easy for a new member to completely misunderstand the humour behind some of the replies. This isn't his fault

tikay tried to explain everything several times, politely and in depth, to help him understand

In the end he completely took the wrong end of the stick on a very dry, ironic remark and made a frankly disgusting post.

Its a shame all round, but it wasn't as if people weren't trying to make him see the bigger picture on here

Whilst what he said was wrong, his heart was in the right place, and all it would have taken was a personal message or someone to tell him he had no chance. I saw you post saying that, but if someone had messaged him it would hav e been settled. I know I'm up against it here, but I don't feel like anything i said was wrong. The trolling in a thread about a charity auction, in which the person clearly states, "This is for a friend who recently passed away", is virtually as bad as what he said. I'm just asking for people to think about the situation and respond accordingly, the banter and trolling on blonde is amusing, but in this thread, really?

For the most part Mr Tightend sir, trying to make him see the bigger picture consisted of "£2.45" and "LOL license plates, tatoos are where its at now son."

If I go to the next charity thread on here, start questioning people, even post DVLA proof, then i hope someone calls me out on it too.

Whatever Evil, if someone had really tried to help, and actually messaged him or asked for other details, perhaps before the mountains of trolls descended from there homes on the mountaintop or from underneath their bridges then something could of been worked out here. Even if that was a thanks but no thanks

In all honesty rfgqqabc if a stranger posts on a new forum looking for thousands of pounds he will be pissing into the wind from the start. Isn't that obvious? So he better get the presentation and marketing of his product spot on. Yet on page 2 the dude says "I AM NOT really that bothered about selling it as I bought it for myself anyway" and "If it doesn't sell then i really am not that bothered" I don't know why you think people should have been all that bothered about buying it when yo mate isn't all that bothered about selling it. If your venture is piss poor in every aspect then the results you get will be piss poor. Hey presto.

Tell ur mate to have more enthusiasm for his product next time. I mean any product that does well in a designated market place wont have the strap line "not bothered" contained within it. Nike don't say "Just don't bother" and L'Oreal don't say "Who cares if ur worth it". Nah it's just not very catchy buddy. President Obama said "Yes we can" not "No we can't be bothered". It sends out all the wrong messages and is a piss poor approach to sales. Don't think the results of this thread are anybody's fault but op tbh.

All points valid. The post had a long way to come before much could take place, but it should have been given a chance. The nature of the thread is clearly something that was important to the OP, emotionally, means he should have been given more respect.

If i had known he was posting it, i would have responded quicker, as such, I'm at home at the moment, so I've not been in the casino for a while.

you got ripped off if it was a bargain bucket, pretty good deal though if it was a variety one

i don't know what ones i've got because i've got so many but they're pretty much the best ones you can get, i'll upload a pic.........

as you can see it's a pretty good collection and it comes with my guarantee that they're all real and genuine and that's definitely a picture that i took just now and not something that just came up when i typed pokemon cards into google images
