Why did I bet river.? Doh

Grand Prix 1d
Blinds 500/1000 A100
I've probably been on table 30 minutes not been very active villain 1 (60K) not seen him in a hand an villain 2 (40K) has been limping a lot, been calling raise's and just passing most flops..
Villain 2 limps Utg again passed round to me in MP playing (40K) look down a KK make it 2500 is this enough?
Folded round to BB Villain 1 who called as did Utg serial limper, pretty much loving life.
Flop
check check I bet 5500 bb calls and limper passes (standard) at this point I'm putting villain on a medium pair 55-88 I remember thinking this as the turn card was being dealt.
Turn
he again checks as do i ? I thought I'd check to disguise the strength of my hand so I could get another nice bet off him on the river?
River
he checks again and before I really thought about it I put 2 purple chips over the line (10K) and straight away i thought to myself what a stupid fucking bet.. then he dwelled and looked like he was going to pass, whilst staring straight at me then looked at my stack to which I had about 20K left, then he just placed 6 purple chips over the line putting me all in.. and at this point a little bit of sick came up into my mouth..
What now?

Make it at least 3.5k pre, even 4 or 4.5k.
No reason to check the turn, you could get 3 streets of value from the hands you describe.
Bet on the river is fine, perhaps bet a little less, but fold now.

3.5-4k pre
Bet turn why do you need to disguise your hand just get value
River is an easy fold once you bet, it's a reasonably thin VB so I'd be making it smaller- but betting river not knowing wtf to do if he jams is generally not good, you should have an idea what you are gonna do before you decide to bet

You're definitely losing a lot of value by not making it bigger with a limper pre flop, you want to charge their mistakes and build a bigger post flop pot vs a dominated range.
So I would usually 4x it here pre flop.
As for on the flop i think your sizing is fine, but I would 100% bet the turn. Again, you're losing a huge amount of value by not betting here, he's almost never going to fold his flop range on this turn since it doesn't change the board texture and i think this is a clear spot to set up 3 streets of value.
As for sizing on the river i'd probably bet just about half pot since his range is pretty weak and shouldn't really be able to call a huge bet, and I would always fold if he raises the river.
As played, I would just bet/sigh fold river. It's pretty thin for him to check raise Ax on the river but I guess that's a possibility. More likely he just has 4x, deuces full or sixes full.

as always, another case of players checking turn to trap where villains are calling ridicuously wide. They called the flop, we have kings the boaed is 442, bet ffs. Its not high level thinking poker or anything, its just a huge massive mistake and definitely as bad in a vacuum as the guy peeling a 3bet with j10.

sorry, just infuriating because live is v.v.v.v.easy 80% of the time, just play tight, get a hand and keep betting till they raise.
Solid poker is the way forward and overco plicating things or trying to trap is a major flaw in so many peoples games. Leatherman always posted like hes a v.solid player and just want him to bet dat turn!! We haz dem cowboiez!!!

Gotta get value! I'd bet the river, kind of hard for him to have an ace and let heros be heros! When he raises just give up, you rep Ax pretty hard when you check back the turn so I don't think you can expect to be shown a bluff here very often
