Bounty Hunter
«

being relatively new to live poker i wondered what players thoughts were on bounty hunters as you don't seem to see them in casinos...for exaqmple if DTD were to change the £150 deep stack in to a £100 + £50 bounty hunter for a one off trial or is it a big no no with live players?
they seem good online as even those who don't reach the cash have a chance to receive some kind of return...what are the general thoughts from the more experienced players?

they are done quite routinely in small local comps around the country
I am doing a big one £200 (£150/£50) in a fortnight for the Sky poker Tour. Check their site for details

I don't really like them, I play tournaments for decent scores not to get a few quid back

I play one most Friday's at Alea Leeds although it has just doubled it's buy in!!
I tend to play them the same as any other poker game and aim for the FT cash places, any bounties that come my way are a bonus
They can be good fun but also attracts questionable play!

i really enjoy bounties with say 1/3rd on the head they lead to people making wierd calls and it is always fun to see what hands get flipped!

Oh shit sorry you ment the poker games. Yer there cool don't really have them around me anymore but always good fun when ever they pop up. Would love it if dtd put a big one on every now and then. Let's say £175 with £25 going on your head but do it as a 2 day'r

Think this would go down well at DTD £500 comp £250 every knockout. Game would be fast as people try to get them heads with any 2
