Mitchell "Mitch" Johnson

Bio:
Chubby Funster Mitch is the life and soul of the group at times. Captain of the now all-conquering DTD Degens football team, and my partner in gluttonous crimes, Mitch is famed for seemingly being the proud owner of a complete lack of shame. Some of the things I have heard the unscrupulous Mr Johnson say truly defy belief, but are always absolutely hilarious.

Having bossed the DTD cash games for years in order to fund his hi-roller lifestyle, Mitch has to be considered the best live player, and has recently seen this rewarded in the tournament arena, scraping past the bubble in several lucrative events, earning the prestigious nickname "Min-cash Mitch". The deep structure and soft field of the Main Event should suit his peely style, so look for him to kick on there, maybe even make the second level of pay-outs.

Mitch is also the group's very own Martin Scorsese, so watch this space for his inevitable video diary of the trip when we return!

Bio: Word wizard Hulme, is widely considered the groups best chance of gold. An accomplished MTT grinder, and the one everyone in the team goes to when they have a tricky hand they want an opinion on. For a man so intellectual, his general sense of life skills are poor, once bringing his clothes for a trip dripping wet in a shared suitcase as he'd only ‘got round to’ washing them the night before. Excellent company for a night out, terrible company for a day out, the boy just wont get his lardy arse out of bed. Vegas Karaoke bars beware!

Playing?: This Vegas Virgin will be in every mid stakes MTT going, the ultimate grinding machine!

Claim to Fame: Not a hard one really, everybody has heard the story now, this kid is a anagram assassinator, a number cruncher and a text titan. Holds some geeky boring records on countdown, and can be seen in all his nerdyness is the following you tube clip



Most likely to: take advantage of the unlimited buffets in various hotels. Word on the street is that Stato is watching what he eats. GL with that in Vegas, the food is just too good not to fill your face.

Lil Dave tipped him in his blog earlier on in the year to get some big results, a deep run in the main wouldn't surprise anybody.

Rupinder 'George2Loose' Bedi

Bio:
George is Team Eureka's newest member and arguably already the most successful. Having finished second in his first tournament for K&K for over 30k, he began to accrue make-up quicker than an Maybelline salesman, but you can't keep a good man down, and only last week he was at it again, only this time going one better and taking down the Bigger 109 on stars on a Sunday outright for over 40k! This surely makes him a hot tip for vegas success.

Hopefully there won't be any team events in the States. George recently formed and captained a team which on paper could potentially have been one of the best teams in this years Las Vegas Team Challenge. His expert leadership skills saw them towards an impressive record of all busting outside the top 100 (out of about 200 runners).

A family man, George named one of his sons Ace, fair to say he #lovesthegame (or was a big gladiators fan)

Alex 'CambridgeAlex' Goulder

Bio:
Classical music loving, public school boy 'AL', is the baby of the group because one of his favourite habits is throwing his toys out of the pram, because he is the youngest.

Former dealer Alex, took a shot at going pro after working the WSOPE in London and spinning up his wages in the cash games on his days off. Since then he has never looked back and documented his progress through popular Blonde thread 'prose from a poshboy'. From being backed, to starting the own Goulden Empire, his rise within the game has been a speedy one. This summer he will be going out the play the series for the first time, in an attempt to make the 'Goulder Squint' and 'Hoodie over Mouth in Big pot' table poses a world wide phenomenon.

Unfortunately he wont be staying for the whole hog, as he is returning back to the UK early to attend the graduation of his lovely girlfriend Hannah (HP on Blonde). This means he wont be playing the Main Event, but with his track record, he will have finalled three $1k events by then anyway. Lets just hope he doesn't go through another of his horrendous 3 buy in downswings at 2/5 in the meantime, else morale will be low!
