I'm not playing the main, and Keith just missed late reg for the one drop. Turned up with a milli in cash as well but was turned away.
How come? Obviously high variance but you could sell a huge chunk at 1.40surely?

Hannah's graduation

Yeh that.

Not really bothered about it now anyway.

Shouldn't be that flippant about it mate. Sure Hannah's worked hard to get her degree

She has actually, and guess what...she got a first!

A little story for you...

My first visit to Vegas was a brief 5day excursion 2 years ago following a travelling jaunt around central america. I had $900 to my name and just wanted to see it and was happy enough to lose $900 and restart life at uni.

I lost 600$ in the first 24 hours and I had maxed out my card so was killing timing for hours waiting until x oclock so I could get my last $300. I was wandering aimlessly round the strip and a guy asked me the time. He was middle aged, unshaven, a bit deshevelled but was friendly enough. We got to talking. I was pretty lonely so didn't mind the company. He said he had been gambling in Vegas for 25 years and had just done the last of his money and was off to the airport to fly home. He said he was so well known around vegas, that the guys at the bellagio put him up every time he's here and give him free tickets to Cirque de Solais. He asked me if I wanted to go. I really did want to go!

Nothing to lose, I said yeh I'd love to go. He said he'd ring up the bellagio and have them put the tickets in my name. I told him I had no money to give him or anything. He made the phone call, handed the phone over to me so I could give my details to the receptionist. She sounded genuine enough and it all looked sorted. He said just go to the ticket office over there to collect them.

I said thank you so much, I wish I could do something to repay you. He said "you not got anything on you? All I need is a cab fare to the airport". I happened to have $10 which I'd planned on using for a hotdog at the food court. I gave it to him and he said thank you and we parted ways.

To be continued...

Now then I turn up at the ticket office and say "Hi I'm here to collect some tickets in the name of Goulder".

"Sorry Sir, there doesn't seem to be any tickets in that name".

"Hmmm, can you check again. Is there a different ticket office?"

"I'm sorry sir".

I kind of expected it, but I felt like a right mug.

Now then, fast forward to a few days ago.

I take my first breath of desert air walking out of the venetian, alone, and I was ambling over to the Wynn. I got to thinking about that incident and I thought to myself "I wonder if he's still here, pulling the same tricks....How weird would it be to see him again..."

A huge limo drives by and I stop to watch it go past.

From behind me I hear a voice "Pretty big isn't?"

I turn around and there he is!!!

The face was unforgettable, no way it wasn't the same guy. I couldn't believe my eyes!

"Where you from?" He said.

In a daze, not knowing what to say or do, I sort of replied in slow motion "England".

"Really? I was just over there, whereabouts you from?"

I'm not having this again! I thought briefly about stringing him along, but couldn't really be bothered.

"I remember you, we've met before"

"I don't think so"

"Yeh you tried to cheat me a couple of years ago, I remember it perfectly"

"No way man"

And I basically told him in no uncertain terms to fuck off and leave me alone.

I walked off, definitely shaken up, and I just couldn't believe what had happened. From thinking about a man I hadn't seen in two years to him being stood there talking to me seconds later, trying the same con - What are the chances?!
