Following yesterday's update on my PC when I fired it up today all of the icons on my desktop are almost double the size, and so are the tabs at the top of my page.

It's as though the page has gone ito widescreen as if I simply press ctrl/+ it reduces but doesn't fill the screen. I've tried looking in "tools" and in "look and layout" with no success.

Any suggestions on how I can get it to revert back to it's old self?

Is it possible to simply undo the update?

What update?  You've updated Firefox to FF 14?  That won't have had any affect on the icons on your desktop.

Sounds like you've got the wrong screen resolution for your monitor.  Have you tried right-clicking the desktop and changing the 'Screen Resolution'?

Almost def your computer has recognised that you are an older person, probably through a cookie from the websites of Saga or Help the aged, and has increased the resolution accordingly.  As Kin says, just change back the resolution.

Are you sure that someone hasn't just moved your chair closer to the screen?

At the risk of sounding even dafter, how do I right-click the desktop?

Going bakc to a default resolution is something that tends to happen after a graphic driver update - as Kin said, you should be able to easly change that.

Thanks for the help I think I've managed to restore it.
